Tried their Larceny Bourbon — must-try if you enjoy a good pour! Plenty of parking, multiple event spaces, and a team that clearly takes pride in what they do. I’ll definitely be back! ✨
A couple criticisms include that this particular time, our appetizers were brought out about one minute before the meal, which doesn’t even make me want them anymore. Major pet peeve of mine. The entrées were fired way too early. A couple of other people in my party ordered another round of drinks and mentioned how they tasted completely different than the first time. The server graciously had them remade, but they were still off. My Matty’s old fashioned (bourbon, on tap) was great, and that dirty cherry is everything! I could eat those by the jar.
Nonetheless, a well-deserved five stars in terms of the fish fry. Just some of the other components bring down the overall rating. I would just recommend taking your time ordering entrées if you order appetizers and sticking to their cocktail list.
This entree was on their special Oktoberfest menu for the month of October. I think they should offer this entree year around! The service was prompt, very efficient, humorous, and neighborly! Matty’s has a lot of tv’s to watch sports and ample parking in the back.
The dining area we were in was open and bright. We were seated close to the back door which is accessible in cold weather even though it opens directly into the dining room from outside. So we were kind of cold as the wind hit us every time that door opened. The tables were very small and the chairs did not feel sturdy at all.
The service was wonderful. Our server was prompt and friendly. Absolutely love the running of cards right at the table. She was always keeping an eye on us, but was never intrusive.
The food was okay. Nothing special, but certainly not bad. I got the Brisket Skillet. There was an overall lack of flavor. Like not even seasoned with salt and pepper before cooking the eggs or potatoes. The menu description included that it had cheese sauce on it. Nope. No cheese at all. The brisket itself was quite delicious though. After taking the leftovers home, I was able to bring it to life with some cheese and seasoning on the reheat. maybe they’re just not a “brunch place.” Or maybe they had an off day.
The vibe was fun enough though to warrant going back and trying dinner.
We didn’t realize that the menu at the outside seating area was different than the menu inside the bar.
It really wasn’t that big of a deal. We went inside and ordered our food.
I’m really glad we did! I got the Muskego Pizza burger, which was perfect Italian sausage with onions, mushrooms, and mozzarella cheese and spaghetti sauce served on a toasted bun. My wife got the brisket burger, which she couldn’t stop going on about! The french fries were like little scoops And very unique!
It was a great atmosphere with lots of sports on TV and very busy inside as well as outside on a Saturday afternoon.
There were four of us at the table, and although the place was very busy, service was incredibly fast and very attentive. I will return on a colder day to try their French onion soup that I saw someone else order.
Stopped in last night with another couple. Had a couple of excellent burgers and fries. The waitress did a great job. Very attentive and super friendly (thanks Jenny).
