Sorry for the sloppiness of the pictures, couldn’t wait to take a bit. This is one of those fun slices of Americana that’s worth going to. Affordable and quick, the drive thru might be long but the regular line moves quick. Usually they give you your ice cream right away then come the food items later. Great place for an affordable cone and the flavors are solid. It was great to get a classic banana split. The fries are worth getting because nothing is better than some crispy hot thicker cut fries to pair with ice cream. Highly recommend.

I made a suggestion that they have a Nutter Butter Iceberg and one of the girls came up with this substitute which is peanut butter and waffle cone pieces. I will say after this Bite this is pure perfection lol . This will stay on my list to order again. I wish I had her name but please whoever it was tell them I’m so grateful ☺️ for them. Also please consider my nutter butter suggestion basically made with nutter butter cookies I’m sure it would maker all peanut butter lovers Happy.

Since the 1950s BJ’s Velvet Freeze has been serving up classic burgers and shakes. It was pretty busy when we arrived, but the walk-up line moved quickly. We got our chocolate malts first and our food order probably 5 minutes later. I got the cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato added and my husband got the monster burger. Both were hot and delicious with fresh ingredients and melty cheese. The fries were thick with the perfect amount of crisp and saltiness. The chocolate malt was my favorite part of the meal—extra creamy, rich, and comforting. There’s no inside dining, just some benches and tables outside, or your car. It can be quite noisy outside with N Union traffic blasting by. My one complaint is that there’s tons of menus on the building, but none of them detail what’s on the burgers until you get to the window to order. Then there’s a sheet with pictures and tiny font explaining what comes on each burger. Overall, the food here is great. Even if you’re not into burgers, they have a lot of other options to choose from. If you’re craving something simple, satisfying, and nostalgic, this burger joint is the just the place.

Been wanting to try this place for months and was so excited… just to be disappointed. Took almost an hour to get our food for starters. Then when we did finally get the food, the fried mushrooms, fries and mozzarella sticks all tasted like they were fried in old oil and the burgers had zero seasoning. The price was not bad but I really expected more out of a place that’s been open for so long and everyone raves about how great it is. Husband and I agreed we will not be going back.

This is a great place to bring your kids. Prices are good. Ice cream is delicious. Got a strawberry shortcake, hot fudge cake. Strawberry sundae and a cherry dipped ice cream in a cup. Always have long lines but it’s worth the wait.

Honestly the place place for frozen dairy treats in the springs! The size of the cones are huge! The variety of cone dips is baffling to say the least, I believe there are 8! They really get you in and out fast too for the amount of business they receive! NEVER LET THIS PLACE SHUT DOWN!

Asked for a banana split glacier, add cherry dip n extra pineapple. When I received my order, it was a banana split. When I asked for it to corrected, the girl was rude! Said you didn’t even tell me a size. Made my order, I asked again to insure it was going to be made the way I asked. it wasn’t but a cup with vanilla ice cream, and little bits of cherry dip.

Stopped in to grab a quick treat this evening. Got a butterfinger iceberg and it was delicious! Went through the drive thru lane. There’s always a line here, but it’s always worth the wait. I love that they kept the original building and have maintained everything well. Outdoor tables are clean, no overflowing trash in any of the bins. Everything is nice, clean, and delicious!
