Backyard Tacos always satisfies my taco cravings, especially the Al Pastor ones with their tasty toppings and spicy jalapeño sauce. The food is fresh, comes out fast, and the place is clean with plenty of seating, making it an easy favorite for me and my family.

It was better than my expectations. I especially liked the shredded beef tacos. The self-serve sides bar is great with a couple cool sauces and solid items like sliced cucumbers, radishes, pickled onions, and more. It’s a nice open restaurant. Overall I would come back again.

We were in the area for something else and decided to grab a quick bite. They seem to make everything fresh, drive thru was a little long but the food that came out was great.
We split a play of three tacos having the carne asada, a pollo and an avocado each was delicious! The flour tortillas were paper thin, soft and fresh. The beans were creamy and cheesey and the rice hot fluffy and almost buttery.
Value to dollar was pretty good it was just over 15 for the plate and we both had a couple of bites each.
The salsas were all flavorful as well.

Just stopped by Backyard Taco in Gilbert. I ordered the 2 chicken taco plate and a chicken bowl, both were packed with flavour. The meat was juicy, well-seasoned and fresh off the grill. The bill was around $25 with a drink.
What I really loved was the casual, indoor and outdoor vibe. It’s perfect for a quick bite. Felt more like an office cafeteria. Plus, the salsa bar is a game-changer, I loaded up with fresh pico, spicy salsas, and lime.
My tips:
• Don’t skip the salsa bar, customizing your tacos makes the whole experience better.
This is one of those places I’ll keep coming back to when I’m craving real, no-fuss street tacos. So good!

I freaking love, Backyard taco!!! I love parstor tacos and the carne asada tacos, and I love the salsa bar!! I love almost everything about Backyard Taco!!! This one has an awesome vibe to it! I love the decor, and they have some good music playing at just the right volume!! The tortillas are super fresh! With just the right pull to them!
The service could be a little faster. It’s just tacos it should only be 2 minutes tops, but it always takes about minutes…..

Best authentic Mexican food around! Everything on the menu is so delicious – my favs are the birria tacos, horchata and the papa locas! Their bueno bowls are amazing for when you want to eat cleaner but still get that Mexican feel!

Generally the food was fine. We got all 4 taco fillings. The pastor was the best. We also ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was not good at all. The chicken tasted like chemicals, it was sitting in a pool of liquid that I assume was from the chicken and it had cabbage in it. The cheese was in a cold glob on one side. The rice and beans were good. A tiny side of sour cream was $1, it was a tablespoon at most. I don’t see any reason to return considering there are other options around.
