Beyond disappointing! First time going and last time sadly. My boyfriend and I went at 12:30 pm. It was very slow so we had no problems getting seated. At first our waiter seemed like he was gonna be awesome, came up immediately very nice got our drink order and appetizer order. From there service literally ended! We ate out appetizer and patiently waited for our waiter to come back to take our order but Another table got seated and he seemed to have forgotten about us. He ended up getting their order before us and still had a small wait before he finally came back around to us. Our order came out in a timely matter but we didn’t have our utensils so after waiting to see if our waiter was gonna come check on us my boyfriend had to get up and go ask him for them. The utensils we received were dirty. My tacos ended up being cold! Finally when the waiter came to check on us he asked us how everything was,

We stopped by Taco Boy in Folly Beach and had such a fun experience! The atmosphere is bright, funky, and full of energy. the huge octopus on the ceiling and colorful decor make it such a cool place to eat. The tacos were packed with flavor, and the chips and trio of salsas were awesome. It’s family-friendly too . our kids loved hanging out in the big “Amigos” chair out front. Definitely a must-visit spot for tacos and good vibes when you’re in Folly Beach!

We stopped in for lunch at Taco Boy today after a beach baptism and I’m so glad we did! We have been to this Taco Boy a few times in the past and always enjoy it.
We got seated right away and the server came to the table immediately with water for everyone. We were able to order our food pretty quickly and we had food on the table in a very timely manner. Our server was very attentive and checked on us frequently. All of the food was delicious and fresh! We will usually bring food home when we go out to eat but everything was so good we didn’t have anything left over! I highly recommend Taco Boy if you are hanging on Folly for a day and have a craving for some yummy food!

Love that this place is close tot he beach. They have multiple bars. Rooftop was closed during the day on a Friday but sat at the bar instead. The bartender was great and conversational. The chips and guac were just average, as well as the margaritas. The tacos were delicious. I tried a crispy avocado and firecracker shrimp taco which were both delicious. I would definitely come back for a quick bite off the beach but would likely just stick to tacos.

Food was fair. Texas Fajitas good. Rice bowl with chicken a complete rip off. Service mediocre. Had to wait to order. Liked the bartenders hat so I got one. Waitress brought card machine to the table. Never presented a bill to look at, just said it was $73 , likely afraid to show actual charges, but told me hat was added to total. I am tired of the built in tip suggestions that every place in Folly has. Minimum 18% is outrageous. Had to ask for bill to review after the fact and when saw it, not only did I end up tipping on food and taxes and the hat and 3% added service fee for credit cards, which is a joke. Figure your costs into the product , including food and service up front. Lots of hype for this place on line. Not worth the money after all the add ons. Can’t recommend. Anyone want to buy a hat?

Just got done at the beach and was hungry then saw this place. It not only draws your eyes to it, but you walk to the hostess station and you’re instantly greeted with a smile. Making you feel welcomed. If it’s a nice day out or night I recommend sitting outside if possible. It’s such a vibe. The food, oh man the food is just fantastic. Our waitress Kaylee was fantastic, such a lovely girl. Being a former waitress myself, she had done her job amazingly. I would rate this place more than 5 stars if I could. I highly recommend eating here if you haven’t before. 🙂

We are visiting from Wisconsin on our honeymoon and Taco Boy at Folly Beach was such a fun surprise and total vibe. Our Uber driver told us to check it out, and we are so glad we did. The atmosphere was bright, colorful, and full of energy, the kind of place that instantly makes you feel like you are on vacation. The margaritas were amazing and only five dollars, which was such a great deal. The service was fantastic and our server went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We ordered the trio sampler and it was so good!!! The salsa, guacamole, and queso were all incredible, and the chips were GREAT too. Everything was flavorful and clearly made with care. The food came out quickly, and the vibe of the place just made it even better. It is such a unique and photogenic spot right in the heart of the Folly Beach area, and we loved every minute of it. Keep crushing it, Taco Boy, because this place is seriously something special.

We had our Company Holiday Party at Taco Boy Folly Beach in the Chapel Room and it was the perfect space for our team! You get your own separate dinning area that fit our group perfectly. They had such a nice set up for the Holidays as well. Rachael Rose helped me put on this event and she went above and beyond with working with me in order to make our event a success. We highly recommend having a private event at Taco Boy as it was at an incredible price point and they have such an incredible team!

The food was good but the service left a bit to be desired. Started off with the the hostess who seemed distracted and uninterested when putting our name in. When we got the text that our table was ready and we returned to the hostess stand she proceeded to click on her iPad for serval minutes without saying much. She also left the stand to talk with other servers and help take dishes. It just felt like she was ignoring us and the others waiting. They were really busy but it just wasn’t the most welcoming standing there for several minutes without any communication on why she wasn’t helping us. There were many other people experiencing the same thing at the hostess stand.
The food was good! Although pretty pricey. We got the trio dip to start off. Their chips are excellent! I got tacos and my wife got a burrito bowl. I didn’t love the sides (rice and beans).
The atmosphere is quirky, creative and inviting. Also a cool touch that they offer you flavored chick peas while waiting.
