When we walked in, the staff at the front desk were too busy talking among themselves and didn’t acknowledge us at all. After we were finally seated, our server checked on us once, then disappeared for a long time. We waited far too long to place our order. After bringing the food, he checked on us one more time and never returned again. We ended up paying at the kiosk because no one came back to the table.
As for the food:
• The mango margarita was okay, nothing special.
• I ordered the steak and ribs combo—they were decent, but I’ve definitely had better.
• My husband had the 6-ounce steak, which he said was dry, and the baked potato came with no butter.
The biggest issue was the service. The staff seemed completely disengaged—many were on their phones or chatting with each other at recently cleared tables. When we needed to-go boxes, no one bothered to help us, and I eventually had to get them myself.
Overall, the food was average at best, but the service was pathetic and left a very bad impression. We expected much better from this location. This location seriously needs better management and staff training.
I was welcomed at the door and guided to my table, where Mikaela (my server) greeted me with a bright, genuine smile. She patiently waited while I fumbled over which sides to choose and even surprised me with her own favorite lemonade flavor creation. That simple act of kindness turned my evening around.
Mikaela’s thoughtful service reminded me how much a small gesture can lift a heavy day. I left full and grateful, with a lighter heart than when I arrived.
It can get loud in here at times also; with customers in the bar area watching games or having loud loud conversations.
Service is hit & miss at this location though.
I understand its a busy place with a lot of tables to tend to.
A lot of times it takes a while to track down your server for anything & if you try to get another servers attention for assistance they are usually flying by you making no eye contact as to not be approachable.
Customers do their part by showing up & paying for your services and to keep the restaurant operating; that is all of the Customer Service Industry.
Restaurateurs need to do their part continuously (anticipate, prepare, provide, hire, train, execute, review, repeat…)
No ifs, ands or butts about it.
I will add that the food here is always consistently hot, fresh & delicious.
Additionally it is one of our familys favorite restaurants & only a 5 minute drive for us.
