The Hare and the Hound has an event room right next door to the restaurant which we inquired about for my brothers wedding rehearsal dinner. The coordinator Elizabeth and her team went above and beyond for the whole experience from start to finish! The event room was perfect for our decided “rehearsal brunch” and Elizabeth and the team curated the perfect menu for our event. They allowed us to come in early to set up for the event and let us use some of their decor as well. The staff at the event were SO professional, kind, and gave us the best service throughout the brunch! They set up a champagne/mimosa bar and had a lovely staff member serving it with such a professional demeanor. Another team member helped us cut and serve cake for the event which the did not have to do! This was only a couple things that they did to make our rehearsal brunch the best it could be! Anything we needed they made happen! The team made the event run flawlessly and cleaned the venue and packaged up leftover food for us after the event. 11/10 experience!

My sister was in town over Thanksgiving, and the three of us took a short drive to Landrum for the morning. My wife had been to The Hare and Hound before, so that was going to be our lunch stop. We got there about 1130 and were promptly seated. We sat on the patio, but the screens were down and the heaters were on, so we were quite comfortable.
Our server Josh said I’d enjoy the Guiness Meat Pie, and he was right. What a great meal for a cool and breezy day.
This was a great stop before we headed home for the day.

We met my in-laws here for lunch, it’s halfway for both to meet. It was a holiday Monday, they so were so busy! We waited able 20 to 30 minutes on a table. Once sat, we were created quickly and our food came just as quick! They offer free popcorn to snack on while you wait.. loved that!! We were planning our next trip before we left! Everything was wonderful!!!

K took me here for lunch for our mom/daughter day. It was a cute restaurant and I had not been in 10 years plus. Yall know i said i drink usally 2 to 3 cups of tea or whatever I am having. The guy was younger very nice but would not refill my drink. Stopped by several times asked a question then he was off again. The food was delicious would definitely eat there again. I just wanted some more tea k gave me here tea to drink since he never refilled mine.

The place is good, a combination imitation pub and sports bar. The server was fantastic, patient, helpful, waters were never empty. We had mixed reactions on the food. Fried mushroom appetizer was 5 star, as were the sweet potato fries. Shepherd’s pie was a hit. The shrimp basket was good, nice size shrimp, but not outstanding, and the regular fries were OK. Most were ignored for the great serving of sweet potato fries on one plate. Really could not wait to try the Waygu Patty Melt special. Again, not bad, just nothing special. Given the price, I’d weigh in at 3 stars if not for the great staff – super nice and efficient.

Our favorite restaurant! Never had a bad meal here. So many great items on their menu. Food is always served hot and fresh. Steaks have always been cooked perfectly. Love when they have the cheese curds on the weekly specials. You must try the deep fried cheesecake – it’s a heavenly experience! Service is always great. Only downside is that everyone else loves it too, so always busy and there is usually a wait. But the wait is worth it!
