This is a bar that happens to serve food, most of it bartered & fried.
We arrived in Key West late on a Friday night. We were tired & hungry. Unfortunately, as first time visitors we did not really know where to start, and our hotel was not helpful for dining recommendations. So we headed out on foot in search of a late night dinner.
Fogarty’s seemed like the best easy option in our walking route that wasn’t high priced dining, and they had availability, so we we went in.
The food was just ok, what you’d expect for a mid tier tourist establishment whose purpose is getting guests drunk, at the level of what I imagine is Applebees, though I confess I’ve never been to one.
Though the meal did it’s job, I do regret the lack of planning in my part, mixed with unfamiliarity of the options, and not going to one of the many fine alternatives not too far away that I learned about in the following days. I suppose I could lay some responsibility on my hotel for not doing their guests well by providing decent recommendations, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.
Overall, if your objective is to have a sugary alcoholic beverage, Fogarty’s is the place. If for a good meal, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Prepare to stuff yourself. They have 12 ounce burgers (think a quarter pounder times 3) and large portions of most items. Our server was Steve and he was great. Our first table was wobbly because of the uneven brick floor, but he cheerfully got us a better one. I made a comment that my salad was similar to Caroline’s down the street and was told that the same owners have several other restaurants in town. All of them are favorites of ours. They have a limited selection of draft beer, but lots of bottled and a good mixed drink selection.

Went out for appetizers for late supper. Share the bruschetta and chicken quesadillas. The bruschetta with the fresh mozzarella was delicious. 5 large pieces of bread, each with a slice of cheese. The quesadillas had a lot of flavor and a lot of chicken plus came with pico and jalapeño which we had on the side. It was a perfect meal for us. Josie was an amazing server.

We just got back from Key West and I just had to write a review because I was so impressed. I had the Pecan Catch and it was one of the best meals I had while in Key West. Our hostess couldn’t have been nicer. She recommended it. Our waitress was amazing. They were all so friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend eating here!

Exceptional service , atmosphere and food at this Duval Street outdoor bar/restaurant. The staff was incredible, by far the best we experienced in the Keys. Don’t miss out on the Mahi Bites and many excellent drink options.

Lots of variety and choices, good prices for Kay West, quickly seated. We had a little bit of everything, ribs, broccoli/chicken alfredo, salad, burgers and the drinks were a massive hit! Tried several varieties from chocolate-banana to grape! Atmosphere was fun and casual.

We went to this place 11 years later again and the food, service and vibe were still awesome as before. Food was delicious with generous portion and service was exceptional. Highly recommended.
