Pura Bean Coffee was founded on the principal of enjoying coffee and life. It all began after several excursions to Costa Rica where we fell in love with the local coffee and lifestyle. We decided it would be fun to make our own coffee back home in Jacksonville, FL. Using our daughter’s popcorn popper we began learning the craft of roasting and creating blends of coffee for friends and family. Our obsession grew to roasting coffee for real in the back of our own shop, where we serve up specialty blends from all over the world and deliver to local retailers in our 1979 Orange VW Bus. Everyone deserves to feel special which is why we select, roast and perfect ridiculously awesome coffee! Slow down, drink coffee, enjoy life!

Sorry for this. I really wanted to like it but the coffee is mid. I bought a lot of Yirgacheffe whole bean and it bland. Utilized multiple brew methods and still was very bland. Coffee made there is also very bland. Eh.

I can’t believe it took me this long to finally visit Pura Bean. They have some really great flavor combinations that will definitely have me coming back! I really enjoyed my gallete. I had the mixed veggie, toasted sesame & garlic cream *chef’s kiss* I enjoyed my coffee too! Great place to meet. There’s a nice open space in the back too.

Ordered an iced drink and they left the metal tie that goes on the ice bags inside of my drink. I found it when I got to the bottom of it. I went back in line and showed the lady in this photo the evidence and she admitted that yes, it is a tie from the ice bags and it was soaking in my drink the whole time until I finished it. She said sorry and I waited for her to make it right and she didn’t. I stared at her and blinked and just waited and she literally didn’t offer anything. She didn’t offer a refund on my drink, she didn’t offer a new drink, she didn’t offer a gift card. She just stared back at me and waited for me to order something else, AS IF I would after THAT experience. Anyways I felt this was surprisingly terrible customer service.
