In a world where modernity often eclipses nostalgia and tradition, the classic charm of the Florida Keys perseveres. Mrs. Mac’s Kitchen, an enduring local gem, embodies the rustic old Keys, a place where time slows down, and the essence of our coastal community shines through.
Established in 1976, Mrs. Mac’s quickly became a beloved local eatery.
Seafood shares the menu with burgers & steaks at this convivial spot with quirky, sea–themed decor.

We had really good luck at the original Mrs Mac’s so we decided to give this one a try. My sandwich was great, a little sloppy with the sauce but definitely fresh. My fries were not hot, warm (not not cold). My dining partners meal was good (coconut shrimp), but his cottage fries were just warm at best. My thoughts are they were definitely understaffed. We would definitely eat there again and the menu has tons of choices. The atmosphere is worth the visit. I love the decor.

We stopped here for lunch and the food was simply not anything special. We ordered the famous fish tacos and the mahi of the day. Both were meh, I don’t see the hype of this place. The only redeeming thing about the meal was the key lime pie. I must say, it was excellent and I don’t even like key lime pie! Server was very kind and friendly, but it was so busy that we waited over 40 minutes for our food. The whole meal was quite expensive considering it wasn’t very tasty (except the pie of course). I wouldn’t return… but if you go, try the pie!

With such high reviews, this place was a little disappointing. We ordered a basket to share: mahi and shrimp, cottage fries and cole slaw. The fish was fried, which the menu does not at all state it would be, the fries were chips, nothing like a fry. The side of cole slaw was so small- the only healthyish part of the meal. Also, the key lime pie was too sweet.

Mrs. Mac’s Kitchen was our first stop on the drive into Florida, and it set the tone for the whole trip. Cozy and unpretentious. It felt like walking into a friend’s place where the friend just happens to cook really, really well.
The star for me was the first fish I had in the Keys—perfectly fresh, simply prepared, and full of clean ocean flavor. No heavy sauces (so far) to hide behind, just crisp fried fish, bright citrus, and a side that tasted like it was made minutes ago. It’s the kind of plate that reminds you why people rave about Keys’ seafood.
Service was warm and efficient, and prices were fair—exactly what you want after hours on the road. Mrs. Mac’s Kitchen is now a happy first stop coming in, and a guaranteed place to pull over on the way back.
Happy to recommend and will be happy to be back!

This place was really good. Not exceptional, but really good.
When I requested gluten free the server worked with me to create a fish dish and lemon butter wine sauce I could have. Outstanding!
My dining partner would have preferred to not have tails on the shrimp in his pasta. Although, it tasted delightful. The Conch Republic adult beverage is highly recommended.

10/10 key lime pie and Mac-wich with mahi. The key lime pie is a MUST have – it’s rather cold, but velvety delicious We started with conch fritters and then the Mac-wich had fresh juicy tomato slices and the perfect vinaigrette. The sweet potato fries were worth the up charge (no photos because we dug right in). Don’t leave this place without tasting the key lime pie though…I’m serious. And bring cash if service charges upset you like they upset me.

This was my first time at this location, and I was surprised to find out that it is the only one that offers the whole fried fish now. I was a little disappointed in that since I love that from their menu. However, the crab cakes are still delicious and as great as I remember them. The food is filling and portions are big. Our server was a younger gentleman and he was very sweet and attentive. The customer service here was great. The restaurant is also a lot bigger than the original, but way less packed. Mrs. Mac’a is always a good choice when in the keys.

We were in the Florida Keys and was advised to try Mrs Mac’s for its roadside eats and famous key lime pie! Stopped for a light lunch and dessert and it didn’t disappoint! We had the coconut shrimp basket with fries, a Greek salad and finished with a slice of key lime pie! Will definitely be back next time we’re in town!

The best place to eat in Key Largo! A true family restaurant. Many options for everyone and the service is very fast and friendly. Happy hour is from 3-6pm and that’s the best time to go!

Very cute location! The tables are 3D and contain different facts, shells, and pictures. The lamps are made of license plates! Very fun and cute. We came here for breakfast because the other (little) breakfast location more northward on US-1 was closed for renovation. Food was pretty good; prices were decent. It didn’t blow my shirt up but my belly was full. Very cute place!
