The food, service and attention to detail were all above par.
Our party all had steak of one sort or another and all of it was melt in your mouth goodness. So good I actually was sad when I finished my last bite. One I will dream of.
Big thanks to our server, Cameron. My partner was craving a beef steak tartare, and even though it wasn’t on the menu, Cameron didn’t just give her a “no”. He took the initiative to speak with the chef directly to see if they could make it happen. To our surprise, he pulled it off !
It is rare to find a server so willing to go above and beyond to make a guest’s night special.
The chef absolutely nailed the preparation. The tartare was so perfectly seasoned and high quality she said it was one of the best in her life. It is clear the kitchen takes immense pride in their craft, even when working “off-script” .
Capped the evening off with excellently prepared and presented desserts. Truly a memorable experience.
If you want world class meal and staff that truly cares, this is a spot !

We had an another great experience at Jeff Ruby’s. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was as exceptional; elegant, energetic, and polished.

The food was outstanding across the board. The steaks were cooked as ordered, the mac and cheese was phenomenal (rich, flavorful, and easily one of the best sides on the table), the Brandon Smoked Old Fashioned was both smooth and memorable (the kids loved seeing fire at the table), and the chocolate cake was the perfect finish to the evening.

What made the night especially meaningful was celebrating our son’s 13th birthday there while also bringing our 3- and 6-year-old daughters. I was genuinely struck by how naturally well-behaved the kids were. The ambiance creates a tone of respect and occasion that even kids seem to recognize. The thoughtful touches elevated everything: a custom printed birthday menu with our son’s name, roses dropped off at the table for our daughters, and an impressive kids’ menu complete with a coloring page that felt special rather than an afterthought.

Service was top-tier. Eric was fantastic; attentive, professional, and his assistant ensured our table never missed a beat taking care of drinks and crumbs. My wife also appreciated the time the sommelier took to recommend a red wine that aligned with our taste preferences and budget, pairing very well with our steaks.

Jeff Ruby’s continues to set the standard for what a true dining experience should be. It’s more than the meal it’s an occasion and an experience. We’re grateful for another memorable night and look forward to the next one.

Superb service and steak. It was an enjoyable dining experience. Jordan and Aaron provided excellent service from the beginning of our meal to the finale.
Our steaks were aged perfectly. We ordered the bone in ribeye, boneless ribeye, filet mignon with lobster. The sides were delicious- and sized to serve the table. Nice portions. We ordered sides- carrots lightly spiced with Chilean sauce and ricotta cheese which added a creaminess.
Brussel sprouts offer a tangy sauce – yum! We tried the crispy outside Anna potatoes thinly sliced with a tender inside.
The Freddie salad had a house made bacony ranch dressing that was so delicious.
Our meal started out with a salted light Rye and fresh sour dough.
The special for the night was filet with lobster tail.
We enjoyed our high top in the bar/ dining area which provided live piano entertainment. Definitely made reservations.
Our evening was delightful and excellent food.
They provide valet parking in the garage for $12.

The food is really great, nothing to add to the salad nd min dish. The dessert is not balanced to the whole meal. I would have love to see something that compliments better the rest of the meal as a big cake portion does not match the rest of the menu. A smaller French style dessert would have been a better choice.

Managed to get a table for 3 on a weekday dinner walking in without reservation. Very classic dinning experience with superb service and selection. The awards on the wall shows just how well regarded the establishment is. Ordered a crab cake for starter which was a bit too salty for me. The bread and truffle better was amazing . We had two steaks to share for 3 – fillet and ribeye and it was the right portion .

Just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary here on Tuesday the 30th of September. We had never been to Jeff Ruby’s or any restaurant like it in a very long time. I was pleasantly surprised as the hype was real. This was by far the best dining experience we have ever had. We were seated within minutes. The service was impeccable and our server Stephanie was absolutely fantastic! My wife enjoyed a Mulled Berry Mojito. The crab cakes we ordered for an appetizer were beyond delicious. I ordered a New York strip with garlic butter and a baked potato. My wife ordered the steak Collinsworth with baked Mac n cheese. Everything was perfect! Our entree’s came shortly after we finished our appetizers but long enough for us to talk and enjoy the atmosphere. After we finished our dinner our server brought us a wonderful dessert which was complimentary. We really did enjoy every moment together here and it could not have been a more enjoyable experience! All the food was amazing but I highly recommend the crab cakes.

I recently celebrated my 40th birthday at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! We hosted a large group, and from the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make the evening feel special.

The food was exceptional, as always. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the seafood was fresh and flavorful, and every side dish was delicious.

What really stood out most was the hospitality — attentive, professional, and warm. Planning a celebration for a big group can be stressful, but the team made the entire experience effortless and enjoyable.

Thank you to everyone at Jeff Ruby’s for making my milestone birthday so memorable. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough for special occasions or an outstanding night out!

Went here for the first time on a Saturday evening (party of 2). We had to reserve about 1.5 months in advance. This was one of the best steak meals we have ever had. The front of the house was so friendly and accommodating. Our servers were absolutely fantastic. Couldn’t have asked for more attentive and fun, friendly servers. We sat outside on the patio but the bar area with the elevated piano looked like a great time as well. There was live music the entire time we were there. Atmosphere is beautiful and intriguing everywhere you look.

For drinks throughout the night, we had old fashioned, dirty martinis, and Tempranillo wine. All were perfect.

Now onto the food…
The very first thing they brought out, bread and butter was AMAZING. I couldn’t believe how good it was to be honest.
We ordered the crab cake and pork belly for apps, then a Caesar salad, then the Miyazaki wagyu NY strip and a 12oz lobster tail. For sides we got the Tso green beans, Mac n chs, and Anna’s potatoes.
All of the food was so good, but the wagyu was out of this world good. I can’t even explain how delicious it was, you just need to try it.
We finished the meal with cheesecake and a cappuccino. The table next to us got the Air Ruby and it was literally a chocolate dessert shaped like an Air Jordan. It was one of the weirdest but most amazing desserts I’ve seen. We made friends and they let us try it. It was delicious.

Overall this meal was a 10/10. I could go on and on. We could not have asked for a better night out. Can’t wait to go back.

Listen, I’ve eaten some good meals in my life, but whatever the hell happened inside Jeff Ruby’s Speakeasy that Friday night was basically a religious experience with cocktails.

Our crew of 8 rolled in for our annual baseball trip — we clean up just enough to pass for “gentlemen,” but let’s be honest, we’re a traveling pack of loudmouths who argue about who should’ve bunted in the 7th inning of a 2003 Tigers game. Somehow, they still gave us a private room. Bold move, Jeff Ruby’s.

The place looks like Sinatra and Elvis opened a casino in Heaven. Gold trim, velvet everywhere, and chandeliers that probably cost more than my car. They even customized the menus with the Cincinnati Reds logo — so of course, we felt like VIPs who just signed multi-million dollar contracts.

And I’ve got to give a huge shoutout to Maggie Rixson, who set the whole thing up for us. Maggie is an absolute rockstar — made sure our group was taken care of from start to finish, and somehow made us look more sophisticated than we actually are. She’s the kind of person who could organize a dinner for the Rolling Stones and still remember your drink order.

The food? Unreal. The steaks were so tender I considered proposing. The mac and cheese might have violated several laws of physics. Every side dish slapped harder than a Reds fastball, and by dessert — a chilled Reds cake masterpiece — we were ready to sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” in harmony.

The staff? Absolute legends. They were everywhere — like stealth ninjas with wine bottles, making sure no glass ever saw the bottom. I swear at one point they refilled my bourbon telepathically.

And I’ve got to give credit where it’s due — my friend Jamie highly recommended Jeff Ruby’s, and she was absolutely right. This place isn’t just dinner; it’s an event.

When the night ended, we didn’t just leave full. We left changed. I’m pretty sure one guy in our group achieved enlightenment somewhere between the filet and the crème brûlée.

Five stars. Would sell a kidney to go back.

It’s a beautiful restaurant, but unfortunately that’s where my compliments end. I was with a party of 10 for a friends birthday at 11pm. What doesn’t make sense is that the restaurant closes at 11 and reservations are accepted at 11. A few friends were running late, but the staff was passive aggressively rude. Once everyone arrived 10 minutes after the waiter came and took a few drinks orders. After doing so and bringing back the drinks. My friends and I talked amongst ourselves and about 30-45 minutes later the waiter came back telling us we need to put in our orders because the chef needs to close the kitchen. We had been ready to place our orders, but the waiter took her time coming back and basically to rush us. After placing the order and finally getting our food about 30 mins later we began to dig into our meals. I got the oysters rockerfellar and a wedge salad. After eating I felt very sick. This never happens to me and I eat at plenty of different restaurants. After about 30 mins my stomach began hurting and I became super nauseous. I drank the remainder of my water and still didn’t feel good. I ended up getting very sick at the table ultimately ending the evening abruptly. I found out that I got food poisoning. I’ve never experienced that in my life. Either the oysters or the salad caused this. I tried calling the restaurant multiple times and got no answer at all.
