The environment was nice but very uncomfortable. We only took our jackets off for about two minutes to take pictures, and even then the photos came out blurry because it was too cold to stand and pose for long. Who turns on the AC in winter? The place felt like a cold room. Every customer had their jackets on—it was freezing. I guess it’s a style choice so people don’t stay long.
The food wasn’t bad, but who can really enjoy eating when they’re that cold? Overall, my experience deserves a rating of 0, though I gave it a 2. And will give the food a rating of 3/5. Honest review

We waited 17 minutes to be seated, the waitresses were rushing us to the table, and we barely even ate dessert because they had already brought the bill. For some reason, we all got sick the next day after going to this place. This was just our experience and our opinion.

For a restaurant of this reputation, I expected much higher standards of cleanliness and professionalism. This kind of environment poses serious health and safety concerns for customers. $20 a person for all u can eat as well as a hibachi area as well… count me in! Been there a couple times n I always enjoy my time. Only thing is the weekends where it is always very packed but they are always on top of getting people seated!!!

4 stars since it is the flaming grill brand. But the place needs alot of staff. Foods are not refilled as fast. The area gets filthy since the patriots around does not have the etiquette. Servers are sometimes overwhelmed in cleaning and the amount of customers they recieve. Restroom starts to smells when i got their and needs cleaning. ATM at site. Their staff also asks you to tip, if you do not. If it is really a fair review without a bias, it would be a 3 stars. See images and videos for reference.

Great variety. Service was excellent. We were a group of 4. Loved the fried fish and the variety of chicken. Nice variety of shrimp. Many different types of desserts. The taste and flavor was good. Price was decent. Bathrooms can be cleaner. Lots of sushi.

Its one of the last chinese buffets around. It is very large with many choices including 30 plus sushi options. The service consists of refilling soda and taking away dirty dishes.
They also have a hibachi grill in the back where you give raw ingredients to a chef to cook them for you.

Extremely Serious Health and Safety Violation
I am writing this review to formally warn the public about a highly disturbing and unacceptable experience at Flaming Grill Buffet, 53-17 NJ, East Rutherford, New Jersey.
On January 1, 2026, my family and I visited this establishment as a group of seven people. During our meal, we witnessed a rat emerge from the kitchen area and run through the dining space. This is a serious health violation. My daughter was frightened, and we immediately stopped eating due to concerns for our safety.
I requested to speak with the manager. My request was initially ignored, and instead of addressing the situation, the server brought me the bill. When the manager finally approached, she asked me to prove the presence of the rat, which is both unreasonable and unprofessional given the circumstances.
Additional issues further demonstrated the restaurant’s negligence:
• The dining area was extremely cold, as if the heating system was not functioning.
• Multiple food stations were empty, despite full pricing.
• The overall cleanliness and management standards were clearly unacceptable.
Due to the seriousness of the situation, I refused to pay and contacted the police. When authorities arrived, the restaurant offered a so-called “resolution” by removing only two meals out of seven, forcing payment for five meals—despite the fact that we had stopped eating immediately after the incident.
Following this visit, I experienced severe vomiting and stomach pain, and my wife suffered from diarrhea, which raises serious concerns about food safety and sanitation.
I have since filed formal complaints with the appropriate health and consumer protection authorities. This review serves as a public warning. The conditions at this restaurant pose a risk to customer health, and management showed a complete lack of accountability and concern.

Do not come here unless you want food poising. Entering was our first mistake. Little boy behind the counter once you enter. Waiters demand for tips, and absolutely no one speaks any English here.This place needs to be inspected. I’m prepared for the worst. Stuff was floating in my water.
