Is past 4:05pm and we are still waiting outside, then we see this gentleman in a suit, head down coming to open the doors… he unlocks them, we smile at him and he… walks away?
He didn’t open the door for us, greet is and welcomed us in?? Seriously?? And it turns out this guy was the Manager!
Wow, , I have been welcomed, greeted (with a smile) and have had the doors open for me by waiters at Olive Garden.
Now comes the fun part, our chairs are unacceptable. They are all stained (at least that’s what we were told, that it wasn’t dirt) with black smudges and the arm rest are all chewed up. Like these chairs were purchased at a garage sale from a mechanic who breeds hamsters.
We head to get our plates and there are a couple of ants on the plates. I tried my best to get them on video. Even after I brought this to their attention, my Daughter still found another ant in her 3rd plate later on.
They took their time with the meat. What a disappointment, All the meat that was brought out was very salty.
We waited an eternity for the Filet mignon. So we had to actually request it!
I kid you not, I had to request it 3 times, the waitress kept asking if she could take my plate away, but I kept telling her I am still waiting on the Filet mignon. The cuts were tiny, salty, over spiced with pepper and dry and didn’t taste like Filet mignon. I kept requesting a different cook level on the Filet mignon thinking it would improve the flavor but it only got worse.
Only good thing about this place was our waitress and carvers, they were awesome!!
$60 per person, better spent this amount on a dinner for two at Texas Roadhouse.
CONS:
I missed more variety on the dishes table to be honest, had more cold dishes than hot in my opinion, and is missing some other Brazilians dishes, like fries Yuca, cheese bread, and other traditional dishes, this don’t make me give less than 5 stars, but if you want to keep a good rate, I would recommend give attention on this point.
The receptionist was not so friendly, unfortunately this point really needs attention, had many many free table, and he set us at a table very close to the entrance in front of a secondary door that was closed, and our experience was going to be really different and bad, but we requested a new seat and he make it works, so we felt more connected inside the real ambient, so PLEASE MANAGER, change this! I would recommend always ask for the customer if they have preference where to seat, instead just pick a place, special this table in front of a door with the restaurant not full. Thank you for the good job and to always listen to the customer opinions and reviews.
Words can’t describe the excitement of the personnel serving happy customers. Place was jam packed on the opening night of April 30 at 5:00 PM.
Warm hospitality starting from the greeting, queuing each walk-in customer, providing distanced table and serving. This is a great addendum to the Brazilian steakhouses family in East Bay.
Fresh and mouthwatering salad bar, that includes marinated palm roots, salmon, variety of cheeses and Brazilian salads left no room for crab soup (mmmmmmised it). And meets……you name it and it’s by your table without searching for it. Big THANKS to Barbara, our sweet Brazilian accent help calling out all the best cuts (beef ribs were still one of the best ).
Their in-house Rihna coconut cocktail will be good fort with a desert (if you have some room left) for Brazilian cheesecake or carrot cake (see pictures).
See you soon Texas de Brazil, very soon!
After being to both I can say that I’m happy I did both but brasas also has better parking as it’s not on the veranda. I hope they can add some things to help compete with brasas more directly as I certainly will be coming back.
