I had an amazing experience at Special 22! The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of rich flavor—easily one of the best Halal steaks I’ve had. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the dining experience even better. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a great meal with family or friends. We need to put this on our regular rotation of restaurants. Blue Waters took over for another small nice Greek place that seemed to be more of a takeout. Somehow the new owners took the same square footage and turned it into a full-fledged restaurant. The food has been absolutely delicious every time we’ve been here. I hear they’re going to expand into the next store so it should be even better with more tables. We had the price fixed dinner. My beets appetizer came on a hummus-like mound (skordalia?)that was delicious. My partner’s calamari was perfectly cooked, tender and tasty. I had the lamb kebab. My partner had chicken kebab. Both were wonderful. Desserts were good as well. The server was attentive but not assertive. We’ve had takeout from here and it was delicious, but just not the same atmosphere. Dining in was much nicer. We highly recommend this place.

I had the chicken souvlaki, and it was grilled over charcoal to perfection—juicy with just the right amount of char. They poured a delicious lemon olive oil sauce over the chicken, which took the flavor to the next level. The waiter was great, letting me swap fries for a salad without any hassle. The tzatziki and pita were a bit on the small side, but everything tasted super fresh. A guy at the next table couldn’t stop raving about the branzino, so that’s on my list for next time. Definitely a solid spot for Mediterranean food in Bellmore!”

Went here to celebrate a birthday. Had not previously heard of this place but it was close and we figured we’d give it a chance. Wow, the food was great! Everything was so well cooked and seasoned. Their variety of Greeks spreads were amazing.
Service was great and they sang happy birthday and provided a free dessert to the birthday woman!
The place is small but very nice and cozy. This is definitely a hidden gem!

6/19 My day off I headed to my favorite Greek spot. Since my first review I’ve been here numerous times and not one thing changed. Ok one thing did change others have found my favorite spot. Amazingly, the food here is still consistently delicious. The beet salad with hummus is one of my all-time favorites. Well second to the lamb chops. They offer a prix fix lunch and dinner. A true value!
Folks, if you love Mediterranean food, this is going to be a favorite of yours. This is a tiny place packed with a great big punch of flavor. The food here is so fresh. They make a great cocktail and the employees are very pleasant. They are fairly new to the area, but once you taste their food, it is clear that someone has been in the food business for some time.
I’m going to hate when people find out about this little gem, and I have to wait to get in. Please go to their website they offer lunch specials daily and have a prix fix dinner. I have only gone a few times, but seeing they’re reasonably priced, I may have to go at least every other week. If you don’t over eat, leave some room for their greek yogurt cheese cake.

A friend recommended Blue Waters and I’m so glad we went for lunch. Every dish was absolutely delicious, especially the shrimp in a special sauce I can’t remember the name, but it was truly outstanding. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere made the whole experience even better. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be coming back soon.

Don’t let the small dining room and strip-mall location fool you: the dishes here are stunning and beautifully prepared. I’m only sorry I didn’t order soup! We had the grilled lollipop lamb chops, swordfish kebab, and the grilled whole Bronzino. Every dish was fantastic, the cocktails very good and, a big surprise, though a limited wine list, a good champagne (Feuillatte) for $75!—unheard of. They were kind enough to gives us a complementary Greek Cheesecake with sour cherry sauce, which was excellent. The service was top notch across all staff. It’s too bad that we live out of town! (We took our daughter and her husband.) As a recent reviewer has said, we have no criticisms, things were so well prepared and executed. Bravo!
