First visit; this past Wednesday after a rough day at work, spontaneous date night. Game On is not very big however they had a nice selection of pinball machines; which was the main reason for my visit. Half price token night; which was a plus. The drinks are very expensive; I believe I got a Smore’s mule with a graham cracker rim; the drink was okay but after the big square block of ice placed in my glass and four sips; it was gone for $16; not worth it. The bartender was very friendly though. There was a female staff present who was super loud; she kinda was killing the vibe. She must have threw back a few.
It was decorated nicely and there is an ATM however I am not sure if I would return for another visit; if I do; it is because I love pinball machines.

I came online to check Sunday hours and noticed a new 1 star review. Sometimes reviews reflect a genuine bad experience, and that’s beyond fair. But sometimes they reflect… let’s call it ‘personal history’. And if I’m right about who wrote this one… Yep, let’s just say the word “unprofessional” coming from them is pretty ironic. Nope!
Here’s what I actually know: Game On is my go to in Columbia. The food and drinks are great, the staff is kind and hilarious and the owners are lovely and present. It literally feels like Cheers (now I’m showing my age, but it’s true! It does!).
To the Game On team: I appreciate you and I felt protective when I saw that review. If me posting this response feels off or out of line, I’ll gladly take it down. I just didn’t want one person’s grudge cosplaying as a ‘review’ to be louder than what I know to be true. Game On is my favorite bar with an awesome staff.

Game On in the Merriweather District is just plain FUN. From the second you walk in, you feel the energy. The arcade game lineup is abundant — not just a couple machines tossed in for decoration, but a legit variety that makes you want to wander around and challenge everyone you came with.
The cocktails? Totally gimmicky… and that’s exactly the point. They’re playful, colorful, over the top, and part of the whole experience. You don’t go here for a quiet, serious cocktail. You go for the spectacle and the fun, and they absolutely deliver on that.
Now the food — this is where they really shine. The cheesesteak egg rolls are a must. Crispy outside, packed with flavor inside, and completely craveable. The chicken buffalo sliders? Straight up delicious. Juicy, saucy, and perfect arcade fuel.
But what really stood out was the staff. They genuinely seem like they’re having an amazing time working there. Smiling, engaging, upbeat — and that energy spreads to the guests. When the team looks like they love being there, it changes everything.
Game On knows exactly what it is, and it does it well. We’ll absolutely be back.

This place was about average, came here played some arcade games with my friend and my cousin, and it was okay. The joystick on the teenage mutant Ninja turtle arcade game was a little broken for some of us though. The beer pong game was little inconsistent as the balls had different weights and different effects when bounced on the pad.

I don’t leave a 5 star review unless I mean it and this place/staff deserves it! I went for a 10yo bday party and everyone had a blast! We had so much fun. As far as bar food goes, I thought the food was great. It is kinda a tight space but I didn’t mind at all. I think it’s cozy and a nice was to make friends. It’s a social place for sure. (Might not be everyones vibe but I’m here for it.) I had a Butter Beer cocktail, so good! The games were almost all in working condition which I really appreciate. The place was clean. Vibes were perfect. All of the staff members were amazing. Sydney was so awesome! (And I loved her body glitter lol!) She really did a great job with all the guests. I didnt get anyone else’s name but truly they were ALL amazing!! And that’s what makes the difference! I found the prices to be fair, I don’t mind paying a premium for good service/experience. We will DEF be back! Keep it up guys! So nice to know there is a fun place to go on dates/with the kiddo.

I have a small Real Estate team based out of Howard County and we had a private party for a ‘client appreciation event’ this past weekend. It could not have gone any better. Casey and Eli were so easy to work with in coordinating everything for our party. It was the first event that we’ve done where we didn’t have to worry about anything. They took care of the decorations, food and drinks, the set up and clean up, and everything in between. The staff was amazing and, most importantly, our clients had the best time. We received so much positive feedback from them. I highly GameOn for your next private party. Thanks for the great time and making us look good, GameOn Bar + Arcade! We will be back!

Everyone who works here is super nice and attentive. The drinks are always good and strong, not to mention they have a wide variety. The pizza was pretty decent and good to share. We did return the nachos because it was just not appealing. Other than that the games are fun and it’s nice to have something like this right here in Columbia! Great place for any night of the week. Small space for the amount of people they appeal to for food, drinks, and gaming. Our group of nine had a great time. Kids really enjoyed the games. Food was not that great. Chicken wrap was tasty and made well. Two pizza, one was burnt around the crust for the most part. Cheese pizza looked much better. Nachos looked and tasted as if they had melted slices of American cheese on it. Employees were nice and helpful. Overall would return for the games, but eat somewhere else before or after visiting GameOn Bar and Arcade.

Such a vibe!!!!!!!! I stumbled upon this bar/restaurant/game spot after visiting Merriweather Pavilion which is across the street. I’m so glad I did! It turned out to be such a great experience, and I had an amazingly fun time.
The two bartenders, both named Sydney, were fantastic—super welcoming, fun, and attentive. They took the time to listen to my order, checked on me often, and made absolutely delicious drinks.
Not only were the drinks great, but the food exceeded my expectations. I ordered a large pizza, which even came with free game tokens (a fun bonus), and the chicken wings were incredible—some of the best I’ve had in the area! I have to mention there $5 shot wheel (see pics). That was super exchange a fun addition to the spot.
The highlight of the night was the old-school arcade games. There’s a bunch of them, and they made for such a fun and nostalgic experience. This place really has it all—great drinks, great food, great music, and a great vibe.
I’ll definitely be coming back a few times a month to hang out with friends, play games, and enjoy some drinks. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area—you won’t be disappointed!
