Wow, this place succeeded my expectations! It’s not too often that you find a regular looking spot that does bakery so well! The two items that we got were amazing. However, I did like the kouign amann that we ordered a little bit more than the berry one due to the amount of filling inside. The textures for both pictures that we got were amazing, I would eat it with no flavor whatsoever whether it’ll be cold or hot. It’s hard to find a place like this. I’m glad that I tried it and I highly recommend it won’t be coming back in the future especially them having 50% off of their selected pastries one hour before closing!

The pastries are amazing. Had a fruit tart and some Macarons to go, definitely some of the best I have ever had. Dine in, I had the breakfast tacos and they were great as well. Really good to have such a fine bakery/bistro option in the area.

I’m leaving this review simply because Natalie is the best Barista hands down. She made me a salted caramel Latte and it’s been THE BEST ONE i’ve tried. I can’t express how much it takes me back to one my father would drink back in Chicago so it definitely holds a special place in my heart. Thank you so much Natalie for my Latte. I love it and officially coming here all the time for it. <3

I came to the Common Bond with my friend, and it was a bonding experience! The vibes are delightful- a little chilly, but that’s nothing a hot drink can’t fix.
The coffee was really good; and while I didn’t get any food, they have a variety of delightful looking pastries. The servers are patient, talkative, and hard-working.

This was our first time visiting, and while the experience ended on a high note, it didn’t start that way. We had a few questions about the menu, and unfortunately, our barista’s attitude was surprisingly dismissive. When I asked about the white chocolate mocha, she curtly replied, “This isn’t Starbucks.” The audacity!

I politely explained that I was a first-time guest—and also a local food guide—and her demeanor shifted immediately. Thankfully, a more experienced staff member stepped in and took over our order. She was incredibly attentive, making sure our coffee was not only delicious but beautifully presented. She even went the extra mile to ensure our pastry was freshly made and photo-ready.

To be completely honest, the coffee and pastry were outstanding—worth every sip and bite. My only recommendation for the management team would be to reinforce the importance of customer service. First impressions matter, and you never know who’s walking through the door or what their reason for visiting might be.

That said, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. I’ll be back!

Rating: 3.5⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

Just had to applause the playlist here. The music is really great. It’s like I’m on aux LOL. The service is also wonderful. Really friendly staff. Got the chef’s scramble. It was okay. The eggs were delicious. The sausage was dry and hard. The bread was really chewy. I struggled to finish the plate. Bit pricey here but prices are up everywhere.

Always love to come here to enjoy the good coffee drinks and bakeries. We are lucky as it still opens during this winter storm . This time we really like the Chai Latte, Matcha Latte, and the sweet treat Entremet called “Espresso Martini”

Common Bond Bistro & Bakery (Montrose) absolutely delivered. We left STUFFED and happy.

Pastries
We started with a kouign-amann (basically an upside-down croissant) and it was AMAZING!!flaky, caramelized, buttery perfection. We also had the Raspberry Chocolate Chip Muffin and my wife absolutely loved it.

Brunch:
We split the Eggs Benedict and the portion was HUGE. The hollandaise was perfect and the egg was cooked just right.

Drinks
I had the Morning Bun Latte which somehow hit that perfect sweet spot. It had the perfect balance of sweetness and coffee. To top it off, my wife’s Pumpkin Spice Latte was literally better than Starbucks, she said it came sweet and with the right amount of pumpkin .

Service
The woman greeted us at the pastry counter was so sweet and patient. However, the male cashier made us feel a bit rushed even though there wasn’t a line, which took a little shine off the experience.

Overall
Food and drinks were AMAZING, portions were HUGE, and we’re definitely coming back. If not for feeling rushed at checkout, this would be a perfect score.

P.S. They also don’t give you dining in glasses if you order a large coffee, you have to ask for it separately. Which is no problem, just a heads up

The place looks nice, the food looks so beautiful but some of them looked better than they tasted. The flatbread we got was pretty good as were the fries, the kids loved them. The sweets that we got were kinda bland. I personally liked the almond croissant and coconut macaroon. Parking is limited but we were able to get a spot fairly fast. Tables inside were small and the chairs uncomfortable, but if you’re just sitting down for a quick meal they’re fine. I’d expect them to be bad for people who were planning on staying and working from here.

I knew Common Bond was good from prior experience but I really wanted to shout out Hugo for his exceptional customer service! He was so patient while the person I brought was new and looking through all that they had to offer. He explained everything with ease, gave suggestions, and was extremely helpful! He’s definitely an added charm to this establishment!
