My wife and I drove 1 1/2 hours from Wisconsin to try this place and we weren’t disappointed. We ordered the slab of ribs which are the special for Saturday and just a little on the dry side but good flavor and we also got the 6 piece chicken fingers meal the food was very good but the baked potato could have been cooked a little longer and our server Dylan was very friendly and attentive. It also looked like all the servers worked together which was very nice. We definitely recommend this place.

We’re here now enjoying a terrific fish fry, every bit as good as reviews. Our server is awesome, the atmosphere is families enjoying a warm Friday night. WHY do I have to watch Fox News showing videos of that conservative influencer being shot? The commentary was hateful & mean. Think, managers! You have a great restaurant that attracts people from all over the area. Why choose to offend any percentage of customers? Not family or polite company viewing.

Ever since I was a kid, me and my family have been going to Village Tavern. I have never had a bad experience or bad food/drinks! I love the chicken fingers and their famous honey mustard! However, im also a big fan of the pot roast, ribs and Cajun pasta. Out of state family has come to town and this is one of our go-tos for a relaxed casual atmosphere and dinner

Good food and drink, friendly service, decent prices. I was there on a Saturday night, and my party of 3 did not have to wait for a table. It was last night while the Chicago Bears were winning a big game against the Green Bay Packers. The game was on the big screen, and a lively group of fans had gathered to cheer for the team…and there was still space for my little group to have some nice conversation. The staff did their jobs, gave us enough personal attention, and all with smiles and an easy manner.

Seriously, it was incredible. Great service. Great food. Could have gone anywhere, but the ribs can’t be matched (fall off the bone), with soup or salad, vegetables, and potatoes (scalloped were delicious.) Good then and good today, with half of the ribs, just as good warmed up for lunch.

The chicken fingers are always great. Battered to perfection, served with a side of au gratin potatoes. So, so good. The honey mustard goes great with the chicken fingers. The best adult chicken fingers around.

Service was timely on a busy Friday night. The items we ordered were good, but not great. Those fried fish and fried chicken strips are breaded way too much, and everything is a bit under seasoned.

A fairly dark atmosphere which I guess could be a good or bad thing. Emily was nice and attentive. They are known for the chicken strips. They are pretty good and six was plenty of food.
