I used to love the margherita and marinara pizzas here. They were true Neapolitan style, wood fired with that classic airy, blistered crust.
Recently ordered the same pizzas and they were completely different. Flat, thin, and more like a basic thin crust pie than Neapolitan. Not bad, but definitely not what this place used to be known for. Pretty disappointing change

We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner at Porta and had the best time! The food was delicious, service was great, and working with Samantha to plan the event was such a joy. Our guests loved the rooftop view and vibes. It was such a memorable night thanks to the entire Porta staff!

We came in for a large group dinner and had a really great overall experience. The food and drinks were excellent, the atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming, and the portion sizes were very generous.
I also really appreciated that there were plenty of vegan and gluten-free options available, which made it easy for everyone in our group to find something they could enjoy.
We were a pretty loud group in the space, and at times the servers and bartender seemed a bit less enthusiastic, which is understandable yet didn’t significantly take away from the evening.
All in all, a fun spot for a group night out with good food and lots of choice on the menu. Pizza was excellent, salads were delightful too.

My friends and I had a good time. Our server was very attentive and was such a great vibe overall. Food was one of the good ones ive tried in JC. Drinks – our cocktails were good, got espresso martins for round 2, it hit right on the spot lol, real strong.
We went on a friday and they had an event with a Dj and Drag show which was a plus. It was fun over all. i would definitely come back!

My fiance and I had our first date at JC Porta so we knew we had to celebrate our engagement there! We just hosted the most perfect lunch event this past weekend. The event coordinator, Samantha was responsive and helpful throughout the entire process! We were able to bring bouquets and little decorations for the space and the tables and seating were set up beautifully by the staff. If you want to host a turnkey, easy event, do it at Porta!

lovely place with great ambience and great food/drink options. I absolutely love the fall list of draft beers! The 14 1/2 pizza and calamri were super fresh and delicious. Super reasonable prices! When I came, a wedding reception was happening on the rooftop which I think is a solid marker of a good restaurant. Excited to come back and try different menu items.

Went for a quick lunch, had the fresh mozzarella which was delightful – $10 is a lot but it was so good. Arugula pizza $18 was tasty and fresh but it had a crazy amount of arugula. Had the gnocchi pasta $30 was great flavor wise but all of their portions are small. Didn’t get to take a picture of the pasta. Service could have been better. Host was missing when people arrived and many people waited. Waiters and waitresses took a bit to check on us and others. Overall the food taste was 10/10, just the attentiveness and portion size lacked.
