Terrific food and service! Without doubt, Steam is one of the best places for Chinese food in the area.
We really enjoyed the food and bubble tea! XiaolongBao and Spring roll were absolutely amazing! Entree dishes were super delicious and authentic as well!

With the new management and the new chef from a big famous Chinese restaurant, I am delightfully surprised with the authentic Chinese dishes( the google menu has to be updated). I have a craving for spicy food, the noodle and chicken and eggplant is my favorite, the ribs are my husband’s favorite. Definitely a go to place for regular meal or catering take out for family party.

We were craving Chinese food and wanted to try a new place. We live in Stamford but steam came up as an option for deliveries. We placed an order and when it arrived, it was missing one of the dishes so I called and not only did they offer to replace it but they sent the owner to personally apologize and gave us a spring roll as a bonus. The food was amazing 10/10 would order from there again.

Very quiet with calming music. We ordered chicken stir fried dumplings, chicken lettuce wrap and vegetable spring rolls. All was very enjoyable. The staff was respectful and kind. Overall, a great experience here at Steam.

Delivered pork instead of chicken dumplings. Called to just tell them and get a credit but instead they said I should bring the dumplings back as they are sure it was chicken. Terrible service and quick way to lose a local customer. Lotus East is much better anyway.

Made a delivery order. Called after it didn’t show up for an hour. They kept picking up and putting me on hold, then never returning to the phone. Canceled order after 90 mins and said they were too busy.
Ended up ordering from Lotus East instead and received within 30 min.

Super sweet family run business, enjoyed their Sichuan dumplings and mapo tofu with minced pork. Haven’t had authentic flavors like that in a LONG time. They asked me if I wanted hot water because I was pregnant at the time of my visit. Very considerate, sweet people. Their dumplings are homemade, and super flavorful.

Very solid Chinese restaurant for the area! Now you are NOT going to get NYC level Chinese food (though you’ll be charged the same…) but I thought the food was pretty good.
Steam is a tiny little restaurant on Greenwich Ave with limited seating and the parking situation can be a nightmare on the weekends. The chili chicken was very solid – was prepared fresh but I wish that it was a bit spicier and had more of that sichuan kick that I’ve enjoyed so much in this dish.
Overall, will be back to try the cumin lamb next!
