Let me just say this right now — this was hands down the BEST Denny’s experience I have ever had in my life. And I’m not exaggerating one bit.
The Denny’s inside the Flying J in Walton absolutely knocked it out of the park tonight. From the moment we walked in, the energy was warm, welcoming, and genuinely inviting. But the real MVP of the night? Sandy, the night shift waitress and an absolute legend. She wasn’t just serving tables — she was delivering an EXPERIENCE. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being fake, funny, sharp, and on top of everything. Drinks never ran dry, refills were lightning fast, and she made us feel like regulars even if it was our first time in.
And then… the food.
Rachel — the manager/cook on shift tonight — deserves a standing ovation. I ordered an omelette, and I am not kidding when I say it was the most perfectly cooked omelette I have EVER had. Fluffy, perfectly folded, cooked all the way through without being dry, packed with fillings, seasoned just right — absolute perfection. The kind of omelette that makes you stop mid-bite and just appreciate life for a second.
And it wasn’t just mine — every single plate that came out to our table looked like it belonged in a commercial. Everything was hot, fresh, perfectly prepared, and served quickly. No shortcuts. No “good enough.” Just straight-up excellence.
It’s rare these days to find a late-night spot that delivers both top-tier service and flawless food, but this team absolutely crushed it. Sandy and Rachel are a powerhouse duo and deserve serious recognition.

This has become my favorite place to go for a good and hot breakfast. I have come here 3 weekends in a row, and each time everything was perfect today, I asked to speak with the manager, I could tell the server got nervous, but I only wanted to talk to the manager to let them know what an amazing job their entire team what’s doing. The manager’s name was Kee she was also very kind! The host was very welcoming.My server was very friendly and the cooks did excellent job because of the food was absolutely delicious.I tipped my server as usual, and today I even tipped the cooks! This place is absolutely wonderful.terrific job with keeping their customers happy!

I almost never get to eat out. I was excited to eat here and do it up right! Sadly the cook here needs to be fired. The T-bone steak was so tuff I had to spit most of it out in a napkin. The hash browns were so over cooked it was like eating straw. The servers were great. So sad they have to work with the worst cook I have ever seen!

Now considered the meItdown I gues ? Inside of a truck stop with awkward parking. Food takes forever. It’s almost impossible to get someone’s attention when walking in, there’s no workers in sight and if they are they’re speaking with tables forever. There’s never a host you have to just wait for a server or kitchen worker to see you.

Service was fantastic, wait staff nice they were clean folks, food was hot, place is cleanest and nicest Denny’s I have visited in a while, Only 4 stars because of portions I ordered extra sausage total of 4 links,very small red skin potatoes probably one and half of whole potatoe and they must use extra small eggs.Denny’s can do better on the portions as most not all Denny’s serve small portions !

Seen the $5 meals walking in and took a picture of it so I can just show the waitress. Then I get a bill for a $8 meal and the waitress was very rude when I ask why it was this price. She pointed it out on the menu! I didn’t look at the menu and this should have been mentioned when I was ordering instead of a hidden cost. As a matter of fact both waitresses was very rude when I brought it up

I had a really great experience at Denny’s, and a big part of that was our server, Brittany. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we sat down. Brittany made sure we had everything we needed, checked on us at the right times, and had such a positive attitude that it made the whole meal even better.

The waitress was really nice and seemed to enjoy a little dad joke I tossed out while she served my food. I know she probably hears the same joke over and over but she still came back with her laugh and reply. I had the country fried steak with hash browns and over medium eggs that was all cooked to my taste and was hot from the grill. I do encourage travelers to stop in and have a hot meal and enjoy the welcome atmosphere.
