Reserved a table for 2 for Valentine’s Day, they called in advance to see if I was able to confirm the reservation considering the restaurant was booked, that I appreciate, because they are on top with their reservation list.
Meat cuts were immaculate *didn’t take a picture, we devoured it fast lol* & the drinks were extremely good & well balanced with juice/soda & liquor. The ramen was rich in flavor & spicy, but not too spicy, that I also liked. The garlic edamame was COVERED in garlic sauce & if you’re a garlic lover, you WILL enjoy that appetizer.
The host & server were on top with their menu changes & let us be aware of what the restaurant had & what it didn’t have.
Overall, I always give this place a 10/10, I’ve been coming here for the past 2 years & the staff + cooks never disappoint! ❤️

I went for the Valentine’s Day special which included A5 Wagyu imported from Japan. They did not offer it as an all you can eat package but we did receive multiple courses of meats, appetizers, and side dishes. The total cost for two people was very good for such a high quality meal.

Christian was absolutely amazing. He was so friendly and patient with me when I didn’t understand the menu. He thoroughly explained everything and gave us some excellent recommendations! The food was amazing; I’d highly recommend the skirt steak for your meat selection. The wines were delicious and each served was extremely friendly but a special shoutout to Christian who was 10/10!! Thank you once again and I will definitely be back on my return to the big apple!

This is my most favorite BBQ. I used to order Sumakara Pork alot if I am not wrong and spicy shrimp. You can’t go wrong with their chessy butter corn too. I have been here three times. So first time was completely okay. But the second time, we got served by New server. He spilled all the water on me but didn’t even apologize to me and seems like he want to hide it.( He doesn’t come right away to mob the water too). I was sitting in wet, this is kinda feel annoying to me. Anyway, this is his first day(Maybe). So I forgave him. Right now this time, server name is Sonam G*. He treated us like we are coming his home to eat free. His tone was really making me uncomfortable whenever we ordered more. After we ordered third round, he said “this is the last to order okay”. I mean this is buffet and never heard something like that. He doesn’t know I have been in here for at least three times. If it is policy, he should explain me from the start. I don’t know something is really off with him. Overall, foods are delicious and service is depends on who you get.

I visited Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ in the Times Square area of New York City and had an excellent experience. The food was outstanding, with high-quality Japanese BBQ and a great atmosphere.
What really made the experience even better was the service. Christian took great care of us — he was very attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the entire meal.
The concept of grilling at the table makes the dining experience unique and fun. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and exceptional service in NYC. I will definitely be coming back!

2. We had the Premium All You Can Eat, which was $58 per person. The food came up Very slow for about 20-30 minutes’ intervals, which wasted our 90 minutes’ time requirement.
3. When we ordered the dessert, the waitress warmed us if there any leftover, they will charge us and we have only 10 minutes left so we need to make sure we have time to finish everything. (The thing is, we almost finished every thing already when we started to order the dessert). Overall, the attitude makes people really uncomfortable.

We had an incredible time here. Vanessa our server was in training and was attentive and joyous when taking our order. She was quick with the orders and drinks. Christian her helper was helpful with instructions on grilling and ready to help. I will be coming back for sure.!!!

A bit on the pricey side for a chain, but the quality of the meat is very good.
The atmosphere is pub like with a Japanese flare.
