Food, service and ambience were all great. My son and hubby shared the seafood boil, and I had the smoked salmon. Both were delicious and quite filling.
Mark ordered a whiskey sour and I decided to go with a beer – Stella, while our son had a Shirley temple.

The wind from the ocean chilled us some as we sat upstairs, but they lit the lanterns for warmth. Incredible view of the sea, great seating on the roof top terrance, and our server was such a delightful young lady.
Overall, a great experience.

Excellent seafood spot just off the beach and near the skatepark! Highly recommend the sushi too! The staff was friendly and they had a local musician playing some good tunes. Good vibes all around!

We make a side trip to this restaurant whenever we visit our son’s family in St. Mary’s, GA. We love sitting at the bar, looking out over the ocean, eating raw oysters. Their Avocado Fries are too die for! We walk out the the beach, often collecting shells (we’ve collected some large ones).

The food and atmosphere at this restaurant is just perfect. The seating area inside has stylish and comfortable seating options. The upper balcony offers excellent views of the ocean. I’m still sitting at the restaurant writing this review because my food was so delicious. I got the chili lime mahi with roasted vegetables.

Great location and great views. The food was a little lower quality then some of the other local options and some of the other saltine restaurants in the area.
Overall a good place to grab a meal and enjoy the area.

Great location! Excellent views, good drink selection and excellent food menu! What more could one want in a seaside 2 story restaurant with ocean views? Live music? Yep! Plenty of parking? Yessir! Friendly staff? Absolutely! Great breeze from the outside second floor deck? For sure! Enjoyed the food, the ambiance, tge views, the friendly service, and the decor! Told them it was my birthday and the put me in the best seat with awesome views!!

The service was great. The drinks were overpriced and very small, but also good enough to feel them. The food, however, was definitely not worth the price!! The grouper sandwich was a pitiful small piece of fish and mostly bread and lettuce.

Salt Life Food Shack draws you in with its colorful and unique exterior by the water. Inside the restaurant, there is seating with a full bar. Well designed and just as beautiful. If you’re looking for a casual date night or family night out, this is a fun place to dine. There is live entertainment which changes daily. We sat indoors, which was nicely air conditioned, and first level outdoors, which was a bit loud but fun.

I visited this restaurant two times while vacationing in the area. Reservations are not permitted. You join a wait list inside the restaurant unless you become a VIP, which gives you certain privileges. We waited 30 minutes and five the next visit. The girls who manage the seating are really worker bees! Good job, girls! The team here works well together.

Food seems to be consistent, and both the fish and steak tacos are extremely delicious. I loved the guacamole. Taco salad needs improvement as I found it to be lacking in flavor. My teen loved the crab spinach dip with chips, and the seafood boil was good. It just needed a touch more seaoning. The warm cookie with ice cream was shared, and very tasty. All meals are platted so nicely. Drinks are tasty and arrive quickly.

A 2 minute walk from the beach, or there is plenty of parking. While you’re there, check out the beautiful fish tank featured on Tanked.

My husband and I come here quite a bit! When we have guests from out of town this is one of our places to take them. The food never disappoints.
