This small but beautiful restaurant made my depressed wife smile. We ordered Crispy artichokes as an appetizer. The moment I took the first bite, I mistook it for chicken! I couldn’t believe that fried artichokes could taste this good! For the main course, we ordered Mafaldine and Pesto chicken. I’ve eaten a lot of Italian food before, but this was a completely new experience. And for dessert, of course, we had Tiramisu. All the food melted delightfully in our mouths.

I highly recommend the beet salad and the canolli and their latte! Truly delicious! The canolli shell was crunchy and fresh without being too hard. The canolli filling was creamy with exactly the right amount of sweetness! It’s difficult to get the right consistency and the right sweetness, so I commend their chef on a great job! The salad was delicious with a light refreshing dressing! Too many restaurant salad dressings are heavy and they soak the vegetables. Again, the flavor and amount was just right! It’s a very small place that unfortunately does not have a cozy, comfortable ambiance, yet I think it’s definitely worth the trip! I will certainly be going back for more canolli!

Cozy little spot with great food! Tisha and Bill, and our server Monica are great! We’ve been here a handful of times and have always felt very welcomed and taken care of. The food is delicious, and we look forward to trying the dishes we haven’t tried before. Is definitely going to be a favorite date spot for me and my wife. Since seating is limited, a reservation is recommended, especially at busier times.

This was Our first time there we’re a little skeptical because it was an old coffee shop before and it still look like a coffee shop. The food was really good. The service was good, but the atmosphere was not good at all. They need to make it more inviting and warm inside and it’s too sterile. If they lowered the ceiling made a little bit darker put boot around or benches and made it more cozy would be more fitting because the food was really good and I’m in the business so I understand how important it is to have a great atmosphere

My girlfriend and I had the best little lunch date here! Right away, we could tell it’s a true community spot, so many regulars, and we even ran into one of our neighbors.
We started with the Burrata and crispy smash potatoes, both so flavorful. For mains, we had the trofie pasta and chicken parm, fresh and delicious. We really enjoyed their salted caramel affogato. We are huge affogato fans, and this was one of the best we’ve had!
The owner was so kind and welcoming, making the experience even better. With their patio now open and weekend breakfast on the menu, we’ll definitely be back soon. Such a cozy, hidden gem. Highly recommend!

The location is great surrounded by lots of other shops, the food was ordinary nothing spectacular. Service was good portions were undersized and the price of the meals were a little bit overpriced. 3 persons with regular pasta meals were just under $80
There was no bread served, no salad came with a meal.
We also didn’t order soft drinks. So I can’t say go for the atmosphere because it was normal. Don’t visit hungry.

I have the receipts

Very, very, tasty foods from my first course of minestrone soup with Orwasher’s NY bread, to my second course of crispy well seasoned chicken Milanese with a side of incredible Strozzapreti pasta. The Chef Bill substituted this special pasta since I wanted to taste it. Brought back fond memories of meals from my Sicilian Mom. My friend suggested Urbano because she knew I would love it, and I did. My husband had leftovers for his dinner and wants to go to Urbano with me next time!

I submit that this is the best Italian restaurant in Northern Virginia. Their food is consistently delicious. I’ve never tasted a dish that wasn’t outstanding.

The service is always superior and the ambiance is great. The cute patio is perfect for warm nights. The pricing is competitive with most entrees $20-25. The portion size is generous, which makes for a great lunch the next day.

Urbano is a family-owned restaurant, support local!

My wife and I went here because our first choice of lunch that day was too crowded to even get a table and I remember a friend recommending Urbano to us.

My wife had the minestrone soup and I had the cheese ravioli. Both my wife and I are frequent travelers to Italy so our expectations are already sort of impossibly high.

The soup did not disappoint and the ravioli was delicious and cooked to perfection (not overdone). The brusccetta we ordered was delightfully cheesy and garlicy (I know I made up a word here). By the way, the pomodoro, vodka sauce with the basil is so delicious, I ate what was left on the plate like a soup.

Topping it all off, we ordered canollis. Now, one thing I will note is that the ricotta filling is sweeter than you would get in Europe, but we still enjoyed it very much.

Will definitely be back!

We loved our meal here! The ambiance inside felt like a home kitchen while still feeling very modern and professional. The outdoor dining was perfect for a cool evening. The negroni I ordered was probably one of the best I’ve had in a while! I had the Strozzapretti and it was perfection!
