Sleek spot for refined New American fare & cocktails in an airy space with an outdoor fireplace.

We hosted our wedding (ceremony and reception) at Tied House and I cannot recommend it enough! We wanted to host an intimate wedding with a dinner party feel, and the space was perfect for that.
From contract execution to wedding day, Lauren and the events team took care of us and helped us execute our vision perfectly. The entire staff were so attentive to our guests the entire night, and everyone had nothing but wonderful things to say about the food, the drinks, and the space. If you are looking for a unique Chicago event space, I cannot recommend Tied House enough!

Small and cute place. The bar echos so can get kinda loud. Drink selection was solid and prices were good for craft cocktails.

As a wedding photographer, I must say that Tied House is such a fun and unique venue! I had the privilege of photographing a New Year’s Eve wedding reception here, and I was absolutely thrilled with how it went! I was blown away with by the staff, the design of the space, and really everything. I know everyone had a wonderful time, and I can’t wait to photograph at Tied House again!

Food was flavorful. Service was okay. Really liked the open door atmosphere. Felt like we were outside even though we were inside. The Lumache dish was salted well and the perfect portion.

The restaurant has a great vibe. The open air dining on the first floor is great for the summer. Our server was excellent and recommended some great items. The Crab Rangoon dip was amazing. The perfect crisp wonton chips and the mixture and chili sauce were delicious. The scallops were tender and delicious. The honey carrot cake was so good and the perfect end to the night (along with the with bread and butter course). Schubas has done a great job of transforming the space and creating a fantastic menu. Will definitely be back for more!

The brief for our wedding reception was simply, “Sunday dinner with family and friends” and Katie, Lauren, and the rest of the Tied House staff executed on this vision perfectly. The furniture and space at Tied House is already exquisite without any additional decoration and the food is incredible (don’t sleep on the roasted carrots, trust us!). We received so many compliments from our guests on the family-style dinner service. We loved having dinner in the indoor/ outdoor space on the first floor but if you can, consider using the loft upstairs for cocktail hour and dancing too – this worked great for us. Do not overlook Tied House for your next event!

Loved the aesthetic and decor. My pisco sour was great, but my friends said their steak and salmon were undercooked. They have a great patio, would come back again for just cocktails!

UPDATE: added a star for the owner reply. I do hope it gets easier to know when they are closed.
The food is great and a great space, but… they are closed randomly with no notice. Can management PLEASE start updating your google profile and website with the closings for events??!! Something that’s easily obvious before going. Twice, I’ve made plans, checked Tied House is open on google, then meet my friend there only to realize it’s closed for a special event….please, spend 5 minutes updating your availability on google. I’m skeptical to go again bc it’s 50/50 it’ll be closed. I’ll give five stars happily if this gets updated consistently.

As a wedding photographer, I see a lot of wedding venues, and Tied House was amazing for my clients’ wedding! The staff was kind, helpful, and great to work with. The space itself is stunning and unique. I loved their outdoor patio for my couples’ ceremony. It was cozy and intimate without feeling crammed. We found plenty of cute pockets for photos, and every guest clearly had an amazing time. I’d definitely recommend Schubas/Tied House for your wedding or event!

Delicious food in a minimal, upscale setting. Their portion sizes were adequate and the dishes tasted incredible, worth savoring every bite! Their drinks were unusual and provided the perfect accompaniment to each dish. Their semi-limited menu actually spans a wide range of food categories, and has at least one thing for everyone. But keeping it small really allows them to excel, and it shows.
