Just opened recently. We visited for lunch. I had the eggplant parmesan. It was good, eggplant is not crispy. Sauce was sweeter than I expected but tasteful. Baked ziti and calzone was very good. Calamari was breaded nicely and good flavor, but on the chewy side. Service was great. Homemade rolls were excellent. Not too garlicky. Lunch portions are the same size as dinner and cheaper.

Girls night out for dinner. . I wouldn’t recommend it . The waiter couldn’t Answer one question about wine or food . We had to walk to the bar and pick out the wine in cooler behind the bar for picking out the wine because he didn’t know what was what. No salad was ever offered or giving with the pasta no real parmesan cheese . He said the owner(his boss ) left him alone so it’s just him and he only worked 3 days and 1 cook. He couldn’t speak or understand English that well. The landscaping was terrible. I actually thought it was closed down when I pulled up. The inside need a lot of maintenance and upkeep. I try so hard to support small business instead of chain places. But this was failure.

First visit for us. We both loved the atmosphere of the building when we first walked in. Beautiful lighting and elegant surroundings, yet casual dress is fine. Our server was great and the lasagna we ordered arrived fresh from the brick oven piping hot. The wine list looked interesting, so have to try that next visit perhaps. Under all the ice there is a pretty lake outside to gaze on while dining in the summer. We will be back.

Venezia Italian Bistro is simply amazing! The food is inventive and delicious. The service is absolutely exemplary. They really make you feel like family when you’re there as opposed to the other Italian restaurant who’s logo is when you’re here your family (it’s a nice logo but it’s not true at all at that other restaurant) it actually feels that way when you’re at Venezia. So if you want some authentic delicious fresh made from scratch Italian food make the trip over to Pekin and try out Venezia. Support small business I guarantee you’ll love it. I know I certainly do it’s my favorite Italian restaurant by a long shot.

We came from out of state for a wedding. Our in town family raved about this place. Our party was 5 adults and one child. We got there at 5:30 on a Friday and were the only ones there. Our waitress was new and the hostess was new. Our family said when they last went that the staff were all family so I guess they are maybe under new management. Only 1 item we ordered was memorable in a good way. My grandma asked for a cup of minestrone soup. It came out as the biggest bowl of soup we had ever seen. I joked that they must have been concerned that they would loose a lot of food because it was so slow for a Friday, that they threw every ingredient they could find in there. It had piles of vegetables and several different kinds of noodles and a half a lemon in it. We took it home and had 2 more meals with it.
The rest was very disappointing. The chicken tortellini, stromboli, stuffed mushrooms, and veal marsala where all flavorless. Instead of marsala wine sauce, the veal tasted like it was covered in gravy. The house salads had one piece of cucumber and tomato, the house Italian was dark red and tasted like french dressing from a bottle, the balsamic vinaigrette was just vinegar in a bottle. The bread looked good but tasted bland and doughy, and even the iced tea was messed up. One person’s was cloudy like the Illinois river, and the other person’s was much more clear. To top it off there was a used condom in the urinal in the men’s room. Again, we were the only one’s there so how did that get in there??? The decor of the place is nice, but every other Italian restaurant in the Pekin area I would recommend over this place.

I guess my expectations were too high, heard it was home crafted real Italian, but slightly disappointed. Our waitress was very friendly and nice…but I didn’t get the feeling of fine dining… seems like trying to get you in and out as fast as possible. Dishes were tasty, good wine …salad lacking- do Italians really think iceberg lettuce is a salad?

Spectacular! Everything is made from scratch!
Pasta and cream sauces are perfection the Seafood and chicken were cooked tender. Meals are served with the best yeast bread rolls that could be a meal all in itself. The prices are so reasonable! Highly recommend Venezia for lunch or dinner! Service is great!
