My family and I had an excellent brunch at Café Bouloud. The restaurant provided the type of service that you would expect at a refined restaurant. The food was top notch from beginning to end. We started with viennoisesies basket and the bloody Mary shrimp ceviche. We all agreed that the ceviche was truly outstanding. For the main course, we ordered the croque monsieur, french toast and eggs benedict with smoked salmon. All three were shared and enjoyed. The dining experience was completed with the assortment de cookies and Paris brest noisette et chocolat. We left the restaurant full and happy.

We tried the restaurant week 3 course lunch. The food tasted great, well seasoned and balanced. I loved every bite.

I felt underfed at the eof my meal, whereas my two friends felt very full. I assume it’s bcz one of them got risotto and the other a chicken dish while I got the fish which was a thin slice and light to eat. Again during dessert I liked my dessert the best over the other two we ordered at the table to taste all three dessert options.

the bread was too cold for me to enjoy and we didn’t get any butter at our table!

But overall the visit was pleasant with nice tasting dishes.

My wife and I celebrated her birthday yesterday and had a wonderful evening. Elizabeth provided great service, food/drink recommendations, and even offered a tour of the restaurant after our meal. We were very impressed with the private rooms that we plan to return for a larger celebration. After dinner we had a drink at the bar where Andrew and Rosario took good care of us and provided good conversation. The food was rich, delicious, and presented beautifully. Scallops, lobster, duo de boeuf – all delicious. The bread and butter was delicious too.

It’s our third time dining at Café Boulud, and as always, the food was spectacular — beautiful presentation and outstanding flavors throughout.

Tonight’s service truly stood out. Guido was exceptional: knowledgeable, polished, and confident, with great recommendations and a deep understanding of every dish. Later, Elizabeth took over and was fantastic as well — seamless, attentive, and equally professional. Together, they made the evening feel effortless and special.

A wonderful night as always. Tomorrow is Ted d’Or!

Excellent fine cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere and with impeccable service. We were a party of 2 and had the Fluke-Kaki and Homard En Barigoule for appetizers. They were both delicate and delicious. For main, we had the Duo de Boeuf and the Poulet A L’Estragnon. These we’re perfectly cooked, plated elegantly and accompanied with delicious sauce and garnishes. For dessert we shared the Tart Tartin. This is the only dish we wished was more elevated. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our meal very much and will definitely return.

After visiting Maison BARNES, I had been looking forward to finally experiencing lunch at Café Boulud… and it did not disappoint.

Lunch at Café Boulud felt like one of those meals you quietly dream about, refined, unhurried, and beautifully composed.

We started with the salade d’Hiver, crisp and refreshing, finished with a creamy dressing that stayed light. And coming from someone who spends a lot of time making beautiful, colorful salads, I can confidently say… this one was both elegant and delicious. The Coq au Vin was cooked perfectly, rich and comforting, a reminder that classic technique still matters. The Trout Amandine was delicate and clean, accented with fried and pickled onions for texture and acidity… a perfect finishing touch.

Dessert was inevitable. I had the Pain d’épices poire et vanilla, beautiful and delicious. My friend chose the Paris Brest noisette & chocolate and loved it. And then there were the madeleines… truly what dreams are made of.

Extra appreciation for our wonderful server, Simone. Having worked in restaurants for 15 years, I know how much thoughtful, professional service elevates a meal, and Simone delivered that effortlessly, with charm.

Ending on a high note with a run in with my friend Andrew, who somehow makes Maison BARNES feel even more elegant than it already is.

Unfortunately, I’m now home dreaming of those madeleines and wishing I had saved one for later… the kind meant to be enjoyed slowly, perhaps while watching Bridgerton.

Beautiful AND delicious food, great ambiance and excellent service. This was one of the best dinners my husband and I have ever experienced. We loved portion sizes as well. On top of that, the kitchen was willing and able to speed our service to make sure we make it to the concert we had. We are looking forward to many more amazing meals at this restaurant, highly recommend.

I visited Café Boulud today for my birthday. The service was very attentive and professional. The staff checked in often and made the experience feel special.

For appetizers, I ordered the scallop, but it was unfortunately very salty. The blood orange and the purée underneath helped balance the flavor a bit, but I still needed to eat it with the bread to mellow the saltiness.

My main dish was the black cod wrapped in “crispy” potato. I had high expectations since it’s their signature dish, but the potato wasn’t crispy at all. The sauce and the leek were well balanced, which I appreciated, but overall the dish was a bit disappointing.

Dessert was the highlight: the apple tart was very good, not too sweet, and had a nicely balanced crust.

Overall, a mixed experience.

Everything was on point, food, menu and service was really outstanding. The menu changes from time to time and the chef create specials…When I was there was a Peruvian variation. The flavors, the cocktails and wine selection is excellent. Plus it is rated with 1 Michelin Star. They understand the art of service and experienced gastronomy. Well done!
I have the duck as a main dish

Magnificent!

The menu features Daniel’s classics as well as his takes on seasonal + Mediterranean flavors. The dining room is intimate, not too stuffy & quite a perfect choice for a girls night out. Our server was so sweet & made us feel extra special.
