Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had in the USA!
I ordered the vegetarian Matador bowl and a vegetarian quesadilla, and both were absolutely delicious. The nachos were incredible, and the sauces had so much flavor. I also loved the vibe of the restaurant- it’s lively and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The food is amazing, and their cocktails are excellent too .
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great Mexican food. Also they don’t take reservations.

Glad to have found this Mexican restaurant. We tried the three course menu during Seattle Restaurant Week and were impressed. I finally found a place that serves good mole, and it is a must try. The drinks were good and potent. The habanero prawns were flavorful but far too spicy, which was the only downside. Service and atmosphere were fantastic.

The beef tacos were outstanding, featuring a well-balanced combination of soft brisket and perfectly crisp fried onions. The variety of accompaniments—salsas, guacamole, and pickled toppings—added both customization and depth to the overall dining experience. Even as a takeout order for a large group of 10–15 people, the food maintained its flavor and quality despite losing some heat during delivery.

Everything here is great! The service is always solid. Happy hour is incredible with amazing prices especially for the quality and volume of food. We got shrimp tacos, bacon wrapped jalapeños, carne asada fajitas, and chicken tortilla soup. The nachos are enough for an army! I personally love their chicken tortilla soup which has an incredible amount of chicken in it. It’s delicious and has a great bite to it! Their shrimp tacos are delicious. I haven’t had anything I haven’t enjoyed and their service is always attentive and friendly.

We had Matador multiple times and the food quality is always good
Service has been okay especially when they are busy, nobody stands in front desk and we have to keep waiting for several minutes until someone stops by to check in to get us seated.
Coming to food, I like their enchiladas and chile releno. Their chips and salsa is always fresh!

Stopped by Matador Redmond for happy hour – the prices were very reasonable, and the portion sizes were good for the cost. The ambience was good and the food came out quickly. Great spot if you’re looking for quality bites and drinks.

This was our 1st visit to The Matador. We appreciated the many choices on the menu and had a hard time deciding on what to order. My husband loved his crispy fish tacos and my vegetarian “bowl” was perfect: a good mix of rice/black beans/onions/peppers/cabbage/pico/avocado. The chips and salsa were perfect: crispy chips and medium spice on the salsa. When arriving at the restaurant, if you enter your license plate number, your parking in the adjacent.lot will be validated. We will definitely come back to The Matador when we are in the area.
