The Goodness Land Middle Eastern & Mediterranean Food Restaurant is a true hidden gem in Boise! Every visit delivers tasty, bold flavors — especially if you love a little spice in your dishes. Whether you’re trying their shawarma, kabobs, or flavorful rice plates, the food is consistently fresh and full of delicious Middle Eastern flair that keeps you coming back.
The bakery-style desserts and fresh breads are the perfect complement to your meal, rounding out an outstanding culinary experience. On top of the exceptional food, the service here is fantastic — friendly, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. The restaurant itself is clean, inviting, and well-put-together, making it a great spot for lunch or dinner with friends and family.
Highly recommend this place if you’re craving something unique and delicious with great service!

Absolutely wonderful store and family! I was blown away at the quality, care, and measures they took to ensure food allergies werent a risk (gluten free at request in the bakery) and how extensive they are willing to go in cooking to ensure flavors. They make EVERYTHING from scratch, from the shawarmas to the baklava. I 100% recommend to everyone, go meet this sweet family and taste the amazing work they brought to the state.

Small to medium size dining area but enjoy the traditional booths and bench seat mixture. The staff were kind. The chicken shawarma over rice and fries is amazing. While you wait for food to come out hot and fresh, take a peek at their dessert case. the pistachio rolls are amazing. there is a lot of baklava varieties also. if you are in a bit of a hurry, suggest calling ahead to get order to go as the 12-20 minute food prep/wait sign is accurate but well worth it. shukran!

Family-owned, homemade, high quality Middle Eastern meals such as kebab, chicken biryani, delicious eggplant dip, and flatbread sandwiches. You will not leave hungry. Attached there is a handmade baklava/pastry bar with a fresh selection of every version of baklava you can imagine plus Turkish simit and other savory pastries. The atmosphere is very beautiful and authentic and the owners are lovely people who make you feel like you are eating in their home.

Absolutely wonderful Middle Eastern cuisine, style and personality!!
I’ll be the first to qualify my review by admitting that I am quite limited in my capacity to hand out stars for authenticity. Based on the dozen or so times I’ve had Middle Eastern food (mostly at homes and celebrations), this food fits the bill and expectation for authentically Middle Eastern. But, again, I am from the Deep South of the Pacific Northwest, so take it with a pinch of salt…and some Falafel!
I wish I hadn’t been so eager to dish up before getting a photo; and it is not the prettiest photo, but I am sharing it for context. Check out the “leftovers” from our family platter purchase:
3 of the 4 adults, and 5 hungry teens/preteens all ate substantially!!
And it covered lunch the next day for several of us!
It was all SO good! I can’t wait to have it again. Easy access off the Interstate or Orchard/Cole; very responsive service; amazing staff and atmosphere; and fresh and delicious.
If you want to consider the value of covering more than one meal for most of the fam, I definitely overstated the cost per person!

This was our first time eating here and I’m sorry I didn’t check it out sooner. Food was AWESOME! Best I’ve had so far in the Boise area. Everything was so flavorful and well prepared. First time trying Turkish coffee and enjoyed it very much. We went on a Sunday night and it was quiet and chill with a few other diners trickling in and out. I think my favorite dish was the lamb hummus (actually every lamb dish I tried was amazing). The baba ganoush was excellent as well. We definitely left stuffed and can’t wait to go back. Everyone was so nice and attentive as well.

This is one of my favorite Middle Eastern restaurants in Boise. The atmosphere and the vide are very chill. The service can be a little slow at times but it is definitely worth it because the food is made to order. The food tastes AMAZInG and authentic!

The food was all new to me. Had to ask the waiter how some of the items on the menu would translate to something I did know. My wife had the chicken kabobs meal and I had the lamb shanks. Very delicious and generous portions. I will go back and try somewhere new. Both my wife and I enjoyed our dinner.

It should be clear that the service was not cool. Asked a question and answered impolitely.
-Experienced in middle eastern food, the food QUALITY is amazing. Little found like this in Boise area.
-Atmosphere is phenomenal.
Well based prices for the quality of food.
Definitely if not experienced in Middle Eastern food ask before ordering.

Great middle eastern food. Especially for the location. I’m originally from Texas with a large middle eastern population and I’d say this food really holds its ground. So much so that we came twice during our visit to Boise.
The hummus is a definite go to for appetizer and you can’t go wrong with any platter. They stay very busy here so anticipate a long wait. They cook everything fresh so know you’re being taken care of. The coffee is something for coffee fanatics to try but be warned that Middle Eastern coffee is not the same as American coffee.
