The food is typical bar food, nothing spectacular, but above average. The atmosphere is great with southern hospitality abound from locals towards outsiders. The owner, Jack, is amazing and welcoming. My new favorite local bar!

I came here with my brother for dinner while on a cabin retreat for the weekend. With a large cartoon baseball character on the sign and the name Screwballs, we assumed this would be a baseball bar. However, there is nothing sports-like in the whole place. When we first sat down, the bartender came out to greet us right away, but the first thing she told us was that there’s no liquor. We asked for Blue Moon, which was only available on draft. The beer was good and cold. I do wish there had been a wider selection of drinks, or at least a beverage menu.
The bar is very, very smoky. The music was played well but way too loud. It was impossible to hear conversations.
My brother ordered a burger, and I ordered a chicken sandwich. The burger was overcooked but not so bad that he couldn’t eat it. My chicken was cooked but dry. But the fries that came with each of our meals were extremely undercooked. They tasted like unbaked potatoes and were very soft.
Everyone in the bar was happy and friendly, and we were the only ones who ordered food. So maybe this just isn’t a food bar.

Fun, friendly atmosphere and the locals were so nice and we made “new” friends!! We went here for the first time, being out of State, while on vacation. The owners are Fantastic people!! The fried mushrooms were some of thee best we ever had!! Kudos for Happy Hour from 4-8pm!! We will be back!! Thank U!!!
