We visited Pistol Pete’s Brew & Cue on Christmas Eve to celebrate with friends, including a recently honorably discharged Marine catching up after years apart. The female bartender was the only one working and was unfortunately unwelcoming from the start.
Our Marine friend always pays cash for drinks and generously tips at the end of the night based on service quality. However, when he didn’t tip after each round, the bartender became rude, started ignoring him at the bar, and gave him attitude despite him being polite and patient.
Things escalated when he ordered drinks for himself and his brother (two of the same Coors beers). He was charged $7 for his while his brother paid $6. When he asked about the price difference (having paid $6 earlier), she openly admitted: “$6 for him and $7 for you” because he “doesn’t tip.” He explained that he tips in cash at the end, but she responded with more attitude and walked away.
Later, she apparently told his brother she didn’t handle it well, but the damage was done. This felt like outright punishment – essentially overcharging a patron for not tipping per drink. It’s dishonest and unprofessional. We’re grateful he paid cash and didn’t leave a card open, as it raised concerns about potential misuse with unhappy customers.
I’ve thought about this for a while, and it still bothers me. Good service earns good tips, but retaliating by inflating prices crosses a line. Sadly, this experience makes me hesitant to return.

Badass bar, great atmosphere, workers and owner are wonderful people, asked them to donate some pool sticks to the rehabilitation center I’m in down the street COR, and without hesitation pete was happy go lucky and gave them to me. The bartender Teresa I believe was and Angel also. Lovely place

Pistol Pete’s is just an awesome place to hang out. Went there a couple of times after a busy day just to chill. Pete was just as awesome. Hope to see our R20 on the wall one day when we visit again. Thanks Pete!

Other than the bouncer tough guy kicking us out 30 minutes early because he was in a bad mood slamming things. The drinks were good as well as the service. Bartenders were great. Someone needs to give the bouncer meds. That guy needs to go.

Played some darts, listened to a great live band called Learn to Fly and had a great time with some great friends. Food choices could have been better but the onion rings were on point. Overall, good folks and good times. I’d go again.

I usually like this place a lot which was why I gave it 5 stars, but my last visit was probably 3 stars. We had to wait about 5 minutes before the bartender acknowledged us, and she knew very little about different drinks and didn’t have a lot of ingredients. I settled on a simple drink, which was pretty good but not for the price (and it was in a plastic cup). There were also a lot of very belligerent drunk people and nothing was being done about it. I’d stick with the California Club (normally we go there for cheap drinks but they had a cover charge the night we went).

This place is just good small town fun. This bar isn’t the fanciest or coolest but it offers all you could expect to find at a local dive bar favorite. I always run into good people here and the drinks are always good. The prices are good as well! Plus the live music and karaoke night are always fun.
