Come in today with my family and had a very good experience. Our waitress Victoria was very kind and friendly with the kids. Really appreciate the great customer service and how kind she was. The world needs more people like this. The restaurant inside was also very clean and the workers were all very nice. They really have a great working environment here.

I would not recommend this restaurant. Food prices are comparable to a steak house. Apparently they have inflated their menu cost by 200%. Same low quality food. Our server was kind and attentive.. I got 6 onion rings for $4. One slice of American cheese was $2. A soda was $4. The “oven baked Mac and cheese” was awful. Surely not baked and practically inedible. I will attach below.

Very bad service. We waited over 30 minutes for a simple order of eggs and toast (dry). When the food finally arrived, the toast wasn’t even dry, it came with butter. I returned the plate, frustrated, and told them not to make new ones because I couldn’t wait another 30 minutes. They gave me a 20% discount, but honestly, if you’re looking for discounts and have plenty of time to wait and be poorly served, this is your spot. If you care about good service and actually enjoying breakfast, there are several better options within a one-mile radius.

⭐️ 1-Star Review for Denny’s #7966 – Visit on 11/15/2015 at ~11:20/30AM

My family of four stopped at this Denny’s after running an errand in Winter Haven. We had skipped breakfast and were hungry, so we chose to eat here. Unfortunately, this ended up being one of the most uncomfortable and disappointing restaurant experiences we’ve had in a long time.

We arrived around 11 AM. The restaurant wasn’t full — just a few tables — but the atmosphere was tense. The staff looked visibly stressed, and even the customers seated before us asked the host if everything was okay after overhearing a frustrated comment from a server. That should’ve been our warning, but we decided to stay.

After we sat down, it took about 10–15 minutes before our server came to take our drink order. We ordered three orange juices (with two cups of ice), a coffee, and a water. Another 15-minutes passed without drinks, while we watched staff arguing at the pickup window — including our server being blamed for food that wasn’t hers and snapping back in the same tone. Tensions between servers and cooks continued nonstop.

When the drinks finally came, we didn’t notice the missing cups of ice right away, because we were focused on placing our food order.

We ordered:

Classic burger & fries (plain with lettuce, beef, and ketchup)

Berry & Cream crepes breakfast
Over medium eggs, hash browns and bacon
Lumberjack Slam
Over easy eggs, redskins, cinnamon rolls pancakes, white toast

While we waited we played 20 question as the arguing continued. Our server was clearly frustrated, raising her voice multiple times about missing or incorrect items. By this point, almost an hour had passed since we arrived, and I was debating whether we should leave and go to McDonald’s next door. But hunger took over and we stayed

When the food finally came out, everything was either cold, room temperature, or tasted off:

My loaded potatoes tasted microwaved and were room temp, with separating sour cream.

My Moons Over My Hammy was extremely greasy and tasted wrong — I couldn’t eat it.

My daughter’s burger was warm on the outside but room temp inside, with soggy lettuce.

The fries were cold.

My son’s food was room temp as well.

My wife’s meal wasn’t hot either, but she ate what she could.

Our server spent most of the time at the kiosk with her head in her hands. We decided not to bother to get her attention for refills, the missing ice, or even a simple check-in.

When she finally came over, I told her I didn’t like my meal and asked to have it removed from the bill. My wife again requested her cup of ice, and I asked for my coffee refill. She eventually brought them, but at that point the entire experience had already gone downhill.

The receipt shows we paid $74.40 and left at 1:02 PM — leaving upset, still hungry, and honestly frustrated that we had stayed as long as we did. Yes I still tipped cuz the food wasnt her fault but her service wasn’t the best it should’ve been.

I understand restaurants can have hard days, but the open arguing, lack of teamwork, slow service, and poor food quality made this visit unacceptable. I truly regret not trusting my gut and walking out when we first saw how chaotic things were and for that its on me. I Just wish I could go back and actually leave.

It’s clear that this place has made improvements, and the experience was generally positive. The service and quality were both decent, and nothing stood out in a negative way. That said, the recent price increase makes it less appealing for repeat visits. While it’s still a solid option, there are comparable places nearby that feel like a better value at this price point, especially during regular hours. We enjoyed our visit, but it’s likely to be more of an occasional stop rather than a go-to spot.

I own restaurants and I understand what it is like to be shortstaffed. I have to give props to the server that even though it was just her and one more server. She was still good and did the best she could. My concern is more so with the cleanliness of the establishment. The restaurant looks like it has not been throughly cleaned in months, maybe years. I think it needs to shut down for a day or two and be deep cleaned. Everything looks dirty, dull, fingerprints everywhere. The bathrooms were disgusting both men and women as my husband went in the mens and noticed. If the bathrooms are dirty, I don’t even want to imagine the kitchen. Please do better. Presentation is everything.

This is actually pretty sad for me to write this because I love this Denny’s. But today I ordered a simple breakfast, which was just biscuit and gravy, turkey, baking, and Sunnyside up eggs. I ordered it online. I know they were busy today because today is Washington’s birthday or Presidents’ Day. And I tried calling them and explain my situation and to see if they can just provide me the rest of the Food so I can just pick it up but instead they would not answer the phone. I called them about six times and each call. They put me on hold the seven time when I finally got a hold of somebody. They told me “oh well” and hung up the phone. I don’t understand what kind of customer services is but if you’re that frustrated, overwhelmed in a job like that. You shouldn’t be talking to your customers like that. And that’s absolutely disgusting. Someone needs to be talked to their and I like I said I get. It’s busy, but you don’t have to be rude. We not come back. I had to put a one star. Wish I didn’t have to do that. Wish there was no stars

Well the waitress was so busy this was a holiday. 2 waitresses and a cashier, and the place was packed. We never got napkins or silverware. Are BLTs had old bacon with no flavor. I asked for crispy hash browns which they only cooked on one side and never flipped over. they were cold and horrible.

January 1st, 2026 – New Year’s Day

After working a 12-hour shift, we decided to go out for breakfast and arrived at 7:40 a.m. There were not many people. The waitress told us to sit at any of the front tables. We were extremely tired and did not want to sit near a table where people were talking loudly, so we chose another table. The waitress became upset and started murmuring, questioning whether we had really sat there.

When she came to our table, she didn’t even say good morning. She simply asked, “What are you having?” We ordered orange juice, and she walked away turning her face with a clear attitude. We felt so uncomfortable that we decided to leave. As we were leaving, she said, “Oh, okay, bye.”

This review is for management. This is not the first time we’ve experienced this at this location. Employees consistently show poor attitudes. If you have employees who don’t want to work on a day like today, it’s better to let them stay home. I’m sure there are many people who would be happy to work.

We went to the McDonald’s next door, and even though the employee there was sick, she served us with a smile and a great attitude. Your location lost a sale, and the waitress lost a tip. Customer service needs serious improvement because it is terrible.

The waitresses care more about talking on their personal phones then tending to the customers. We ordered over easy eggs and they were way over cooked. Biscuits were super hard on the bottom. We wont be back.
