After a great day of checking out an amazing and epic art museum and some cool rainy weather, we were in need of some delicious, comfort and yummy food.
We wanted to eat something that would be filling, comforting, grab a few drinks but not necessarily need a whole sit down experience. So we stumbled upon Casita Taqueria. Thanks to the other awesome reviews, we knew this was the place to go!
It literally feels like a casita when you walk in. They have lots of outdoor seating, picnic tables and such. Inside had a bit less seating (especially when it’s raining and most of the people want to stay indoors). Either way, we found a table for 5 in no time.
The ordering is easy, you go up to the register, order what you want and then they bring the food to you. No servers no waiters just easy.
Highly recommend ordering a pitcher of margarita, we got the spicy jalapeño one and it was so refreshing!
The food was delicious, freshly made, quick, and perfect for a lunch break. We got the tempeh nachos, rice and beans bowl, chips guac and salsa plus everything else the rest of our table got. We left full and our hearts happy!
The ONLY THING I wish I would see was a super spicy house sauce. Which btw, they have a little fridge of their house made sauces for you to grab and enjoy. I just WISH there was a spicy one, the sweet one was pretty good!

To start, this place is an absolute GEM. My wife and I have been here every time we visit for the past few years, and multiple times during our visits. It has a true small family mexican restaurant feel, with the service from the staff being so kind. The food is absolutely top notch as well. I have ordered several dishes from here, but by far my favorite thing on the menu are the flautas. Just trust me, order them, you will not be disappointed!!! Get a side of cheese dip and enjoy that with the flautas, the flavor profile is incredible. Top tier local mexican cuisine for sure, and the margaritas are the cherry on top. 10/10 recommend this place, and will certainly be stopping every chance I can when im visiting yearly!!!

Just down the street and now a place we will likely go often. My wife even said she wanted to pretend we hadn’t eaten and go back again as we neared our house. The blackened cod tacos were delicious and son absolutely loved his chicken tenders. Wife and I both loved our sangrias and the tortilla chips are made fresh every morning. Parking alongside and both a patio out front and backyard area as well as inside seating. Great prices and great food! Dog friendly too For happy hour they have $2.50 tacos and $3.50 for sangrias or margaritas

Casita always hits the spot! It’s one of those local chains that you can always rely on for damn good food and very fair prices. **Especially** during happy hour for even cheaper street tacos and some wine-based Margs (no liquor here).
We’ve tried every taco they’ve had and we’ve never been disappointed! Their queso is arguably the best in St. Pete and their (salty) chips make for a lethal combo. Yes it’s far better than Red Mesa’s.
They have different specials and different dishes to try, some soups, and some sweets. A few typical Mexican beer brands too.
They have a habanero honey hot sauce that’s so good I could drink, and it matches perfectly with practically everything on the menu.
We’ve gotten them for catering for lunch at work and it’s always fantastic, no drop off in quality.
Service is always super nice and food is quick to come out.

Myself and a friend had lunch together here on a Thursday afternoon. The shop was busy but not packed. We order our tacos and margaritas at the front counter and then sat on the back patio. It wàs nice and quiet and clean. The restrooms were also out there so it made close convenience.
Our margarita was delicious! We had the blood orange flavor with the honey and spicy salt on the rim.
The tacos were also amazing! We would definitely go again.
The only difficulty is parking as this area is busy and Parking is not plentiful.

Don’t sleep on this amazing little neighborhood eatery! Highly recommend the shrimp taco, Brussels sprouts taco, and the fish taco. I read in one of the reviews that it was the best queso in St. Pete, and I wasn’t disappointed! Adorable courtyard out back with picnic table seating.

Very nice spot! Near everything else. Menu is not overwhelming whilst still offering ample options. Prices are not too bad, either. Their wine based margaritas taste more like a limearita but it was still delicious and a fair price enough to try it. The tacos were delicious and the salsa was fresh. They were quite busy, so the wait wasn’t the best, but they do bring the food out to you. Plenty of seating in and outdoors. Def will come back to try.

loved the atmosphere! great service, unfortunately the food did miss a little for me. chips and queso was great but the chicken tacos were lightly seasoned, the corn tortilla was not cooked or warm. i did swap for the flour tortillas which i would recommend! side of rice and beans was okay but not necessary. overall i would stop by again and maybe try something different.
pollo tinga taco: 3/5
pollo verde tacos: 2/5 (not much flavor)
carne asada tacos: 2/5 meat was very chewy
