Its no wonder that they been open over 70 years.
Amazing food, service, atmosphere, and history.
The green chile stew was some of the best that I’ve ever had. The Super Mac’s Combo was was very enjoyable. It came with 3 steak fingers, 3 taquitos, 3 chicken fingers, fries, and a side of guacamole.
I would highly recommend Mac’s La Sierra Coffee shop

This lovely little restaurant has existed for decades for a very good reason. Their food is simply divine! I have been coming here ever since I was a young pup, and have made some good memories here over a wonderful meal. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint, like any good little dive joint you might come across on your journeys.

The menu is varied and offers a little bit of everything: New Mexican, American and more. It’s hard to pick a favorite dish for me. One dish that stood out in particular for me was the Mexican Polish Sausage entrée, which I highly recommend.

Bring your loved ones and be prepared for a good and hearty meal.

Mac’s La Sierra is a solid go-to spot with great food and friendly service. The portions are generous, everything is cooked fresh, and the flavors hit the spot every time. It’s the kind of place you can count on for a good meal without the wait.
The staff is welcoming and efficient, and the atmosphere feels comfortable and local. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or a sit-down meal, Mac’s La Sierra delivers consistent quality and great value. Definitely recommend.

I always gets the same thing… Indian taco with green. And I love it. Never disappoints. The cakes are pretty good too!

What a great place for breakfast. Nicole is friendly, charming, and a heartthrob. If I lived here I’d visit her everyday! Great recommendation on the Mexican polish sausage breakfast with sopapillas. Delicious!
Highly recommend!

Food was good. Service was not great. The moment we walked in the staff was very dismissive. We didn’t have to wait long for a table. We waited 15 mins to have some come and get our drink orders then 35 mins for someone to get our food order. The staff called past us several times. Nobody asked if we needed anything. Asking for your order they were so rude. I asked for two sopas and the waitress repeated two sopas back to me then got upset at me, when she came back with two small sausages, and I told her I asked for two sopas and she said I asked for the two sausages. I honestly wouldn’t care if the service sucked if the food was great. The food is why I gave them 2 stars other than that it would’ve been zero for me. Definitely not what I remember when I was a child coming here.

It’s been 1 month since my visit to Mac’s La Sierra. My life is different after trying this place. I hit a high that day and I’m rapidly plummeting down. Somberly comparing all my next meals to this incredible enchilada plate with steak fingers I had and wondering where my sopapillas are. I’m tearing up just thinking about it. I live 800 miles away but will return someday with a glimmer in my eye, a patter in my heart and the distant memory of the meal that ruined all meals. Everything and nothing is it. It was and is and always will be everything that ever was. July 7, 2025 (our anniversary) (MLS + HS 4ever)

First time at Macs and I can see why it’s rated so well.
Interior is kinda out of date, but has that old diner feel.
The service was great, and the food came out quickly.
I was happy with the taste of the food. Kinda felt that the enchiladas were overlooked though. Seemed like they were just filled with a little cheese.

Overall a great spot with very reasonable prices.

This is a Very Interesting Establishment. It’s identity is about as Confusing as I’ve seen. The Menu is a Hodgepodge of Everything. Even All Day Breakfast. It’s called a Coffee Shop but you can also get a Beer…
Finding it is Easy. Just look for the sign pole, that instead of a sign, is a giant Cow. The interior is dimly lit, probably to hide the fact that nothing has been updated since, I assume, 1976.
I ordered a Reuben Sandwich. One of my go to orders for a New Location to me. It came garnished with lettuce and pickles on the side, which is probably a kitchen oversight but it was the first thing I noticed because it’s very unusual for a Reuben.
Also, most Reubens I’ve had use Shredded Corned Beef for the meat. They did not. While stripes from the slab CAN work, they have to be cut thin enough to avoid over cooking. Which they didn’t do. The pieces of meat were overcooked and tough, causing my sandwich to fall apart even more with each bite.
The prices were good and the service prompt. I may try to give this place another shot but I haven’t yet decided. I won’t be going out of my way to return.

Mac’s La Sierra is a great spot for delicious New Mexican food! The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Everything we ordered was fantastic—flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The sopapillas came out a bit cold, but they were still tasty and didn’t take away from the overall experience. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
