This place has absolutely nothing to do with Japanese cuisine. It’s a terrible, careless imitation that completely disrespects what is supposed to be a refined food culture.
The sushi rolls were outright wrong — poorly assembled, with rice that was badly cooked and clearly handled by someone who doesn’t understand sushi basics. The tempura was even worse: the batter was absurdly thick, greasy, and heavy, more like deep-fried dough than tempura.
To make it even more ridiculous, we waited around 10 minutes to be seated in a completely empty restaurant. No apology, no explanation.
Overall, a deeply disappointing experience from start to finish. If you’re looking for Japanese food, this is not the place — not even close.

Took several calls to answer to tried to place an order over the phone and the host was rude as hell. My son wanted to treat everyone to dinner and pick it up so I tired to call in the order ahead so he wasn’t waiting after going through everything the host wouldn’t take the order unless I paid over the phone. Then he said well we can do the order but we won’t make it till he gets here and my response was well than why the heck am I even calling you that’s ridiculous. Prices are NOT the same as their menu they advertise on their website online however still dude was rude as hell and I guess there’s a reason business here hasn’t been like it used to be. Trying to give local business here some business dam. Food is good but their customer service used to be better and has just has gone down fast.

I got the teriyaki chicken dinner with egg roll and edamame. Fairly decent and I’ve eaten this dish in other states a hundred times. I also always put siriachi or chili garlic sauce on there too. So. $9 wasn’t bad, usually $2 higher in New Mexico for food even at Taco Bell. Egg rolls are decent, better be at $6 for 4. Well, they call it 4 but it’s 2 cut in half. Thus, the 3 star. I’ll be going back to try more dishes so I’ll let you know.

I ordered salmon sashimi and white tuna sashimi $17 and $15. What a joke… The menu said six pieces. The salmon came out first… paper thin I repeat paper thin and cut in little triangle shapes… when the white tuna was served it was discolored And tasteless…. I also ordered an eel roll …. How can you hurt an eel roll ? The roll should’ve been called a cucumber roll with the tiniest tiniest piece of eel kind of in the center…. eel sauce…. again it looks like they put a dot on top of each section of the roll… It never touched the eel. I will never come back !!!!! The only good thing was the waitress. Very nice very polite and courteous. My bill was $58 and change…..

So the food is definitely good, but the service is definitely lacking. If you don’t have plenty of time to spare this is not the place to go. Our drinks and appetizers were served promptly, but we waited 50 minutes for our sushi rolls. Our server rarely checked in with us. As I looked around, the lobby (waiting area) was full of people waiting and there was open tables. You would see servers walking around but not engaging with their tables. Servers would make contact with the chef preparing the sushi constantly and at times seemed to have attitude with him, mainly one. I saw a customer get up to retrieve their own to go box. This place is locally owned but from reading other reviews it seems like they are too prideful to address their employee’s lack of customer service. I whole heatedly love supporting local businesses, but it just seems like this establishment has fallen behind from what they once were. As we were driving through town, we saw that the New Denny’s Restaurant had opened and commented that we should have had dinner there instead. Good food yes, terrible customer service. I guess if you are willing to sacrifice one for the other then this is the place for you.

Love going here. My fiance knows the owner and has recommended us going for awhile. Friendly and fast service. Every one here treats everyone like family. Super involved and polite. The sushi is reasonably priced and overall great atmosphere

Not an actual Sushi place, it’s Carry out only. It closes at 6:00 pm. Didn’t get chop sticks, or the extras I requested.

We ordered 2 chicken rice bowls and a shrimp rice bowl. One of the chicken bowls had a long black hair in it. I put it In my mouth without realizing. Then I had the hair wrapped around my teeth and tongue. We were so grossed out, called the manager and he said next time he wasn’t going to refund the whole amount, only the plate that was bad. We’ll never go back to this place. Manager was extremely rude.
