My wife asked if they had enchiladas since it wasn’t on the menu, and they said yes — but they clearly could not. What came out was a tortilla filled with cold Cotija cheese, which doesn’t melt, so it was just crumbled cheese inside a tortilla.
On top of that, we were charged $2 for a second set of chips and never got a refill of salsa or green sauce, even though we ordered guacamole.
We should’ve known better from the start — a huge menu, and the first few appetizers weren’t even Mexican. There are too many genuinely good Mexican restaurants in Red Bank to bother coming back here. And how this place has a 4.7 rating is beyond me.

We read the reviews and decided to check it out anyway even though we are always reluctant to pay more than the basic minimum for food when we dine out a couple of times a week… my husband and I were very happy with our meals and the enchiladas were outstanding! Loved the avocado sauce (we usually get verde sauce). Nice atmosphere outside, and the staff was pleasant and accommodating (remembered us from other Mex restaurants locally) I say give it a try!

While our server was very sweet and competent, the rest of the staff had literally no idea what they were doing. The food was just okay and RIDICULOUSLY overpriced! The veggies looked like they were frozen mixed vegetables from the grocery store. Nothing was seasoned. A homeless person came into the restaurant going from table to table asking for money. And spending $200 on a mediocre dinner for four is absurd. We will never go back.

As a local to this area and 6 different Mexican places to choose from this place will go to the bottom of the list. The food is marginally over priced. The burrito was 25$, 3 tacos was 20$ and seafood nachos with a minimal amount of seafood and 6 chips was 20$ as well. The food didn’t provide 65$ worth of taste to my pallet. I am a big fan of the original Juanito’s in red bank. I understand that this place is trying something different with the “grill” aspect. I feel as though they have missed the mark. I wish I could give it 0 stars. There are plenty of Mexican places within walking distance of this one. My recommendation would be to walk down bridge ave to a different one.
