We ordered the Lamb Skewer & Naan combo, Lamb Dices of Toothpick, Hot Pot with two different broths, fried peanuts, and cucumber salad. The highlight of the meal was the lamb—exceptionally fresh, tender, and well-seasoned. The lamb skewers were cooked perfectly, with bold spices that enhanced the meat without overpowering it, and the naan was fluffy and fresh, making it an excellent pairing. The lamb dices were flavorful and addictive, ideal as a shareable appetizer.
Overall, Maad Lamb Cuisine delivers top-quality lamb, a buzzing atmosphere, and warm service. It’s an excellent spot for group dining and a must-visit in Houston if you’re a lamb lover.
The lamb skewers were absolutely outstanding – the highlight of our meal. Of the two soups, one was delicious and well-balanced, while the other had quite a strong broth that was a bit overpowering, though the bone-in meat was good.
The service was exceptional. The staff handled our large group with ease and made the evening special.
The atmosphere was inviting and perfect for our farewell gathering.
Overall, a solid choice for a group dinner. Highly recommend the lamb skewers!
Appetizer I recommend the wasabi sesame tribe if you like fun taste to start with.
Lamp offal soup with vermicelli added. Very comfort soup if you want something to clean your pallets.
Lamb ribs won’t go wrong at anytime and it’s not gamey at all. Dipping sauce and seasoning bring it to the next level.
Lamb skewers are seasoned very well with cumin but grilled to the most optimal texture for chewing.
Naan looked and tasted like northern Chinese 葱油大饼 the dough isn’t pillowy and soft but rather very tough to chew through.
Toothpick lamb was probably our favorite dish of the night. The lamb is seasoned incredibly well with fragrant spices and every bite had a small kick of heat to it.
Lamb shank in chili oil was served with the meat sliced into the serving bowl, very thoughtful. The lamb is very tender and falls off the bone. It’s not very salty so dipping it into the hot chili oil is a must.
This restaurant serves Xinjiang Cuisine with a heavy focus on lamb dishes. Without a doubt, it beats out so many “authentic” Chinese restaurants I’ve dined at in the Bellaire area. They also serve Xinjiang Style hotpot, very rare to see in Houston. The lamb prepared here is top quality and reminiscent of authentic lamb I’ve eaten in Mainland China.
This a hidden gem in Houston, when we arrived at 6:45pm there were hardly any patrons in the dining room, but more groups started coming into a little after 8pm.
Service here is pretty decent, the wait staff suggests you drink water from their small bowls, but you can always request water cups. My only gripe is every dish seems to be somewhat overpriced for the portion you get, nothing comes with a side of rice unless you order separately. I’ll be returning frequently as I’ve recommended this place to a few friends already.
However, I was a little disappointed with the lamb skewers. They weren’t as tender and juicy as I had hoped. Despite this, the overall experience was fantastic. The restaurant offers top-notch service, and the ambiance is charming and clean. I will definitely be returning to enjoy their incredible lamb dishes.
