Tried the chicken vindaloo here and it was genuinely excellent. The flavor was bold, perfectly spiced, and cooked just right. You can tell the masala is made with care, not rushed or watered down. Every bite was rich and satisfying. Easily one of the best vindaloos I’ve had in the area. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu.

Finally—this is my new favorite Indian restaurant now!
We started with the panner tikaa and they were the best I’ve ever had (soft & melting). Then we ordered the paneer masala—absolutely off-the-charts amazing—and the chicken tikka masala. Everything was incredibly fresh and hands-down some of the best we’ve ever tasted. Soooo good!!

I ordered from door dash, samosa chaat and chicken dum. Food had rotting smell. I think they package it before and leave it in the fridge for a long time, causing the smell and taste to go bad, maybe a even germ contamination. Be careful.

I absolutely love the food, snacks and smoothies here, very delicious and refreshing. I’ve tried three different kind of dishes and desserts, each one has been fantastic—no complaints at all. Mainly, I loved the taste of Biryani very much.
The place is clean, beautifully decorated and the staff is friendly with welcoming quality. I never miss the opportunity to come here to try something new. Yes, recommended !

The food was spicy, even though we did request a spice level 3. It seem like there’s an option to specify spice preferences. Not only the entrees but even the accompaniments were rich & spicy, which left my toddlers and me with a great experience to try such dishes. To say more, the interior is nicely decorated and the restaurant was relatively clean. Now my preferred place for weekends.

Wonderful hospitality and a great atmosphere, with some of the most delicious food I’ve had so far. The spice level was just right—not too hot and perfect for every palate—while the flavors were outstanding.
I 100% recommend this place; you won’t regret it and it’s sure to impress anyone you dine with. Biryani impressed the most and that’s a feedback of all 4 who went today.

Their plus point is always how they have treated me in every visit, their servers were incredibly kind and accommodating to the Indian spice preferences and the food came out quickly and efficiently.
The dishes were some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had (Especially their Tandoor dishes). This place easily ranks among the top spots in the city. The roasted lamb, chicken tikka masala and Keema are my personal favorites. The manager even came out to greet us personally. A true 10/10 experience! ⭐️❤️ ☺️

I went to Spicy Venue on February 27th around 3–4 PM. I ordered Chilly Chicken, Mamsam Roast, and Special Chicken Biryani. Honestly, it was the worst biryani I’ve had in New Haven. The chicken and rice was extremely hard and tasted like it was 1–2 days old. Very disappointing experience. I would give zero stars if I could.

I have experienced the worst service at Spice Venue. I always loved eating Apollo Fish here, which used to be my favorite. But for the past two times, the experience has been very disappointing. The first time, when we came for dining, the chicken biryani had a hair in it and the food smelled bad. Now, with the takeaway order, the food was again terrible. Honestly, I don’t feel like eating from Spice Venue anymore, and I will never recommend this place to anyone.
