You would never think to visit this place because well…it doesn’t seem like from the outside (older doesn’t looks appealing) BUT…this was the BEST place our family has visited as far as Chinese food goes. I loved the serving dishes with pedestals. It wasn’t a buffet but it felt like it when the serving dishes arrived on the table. They brought the food and we served ourselves. It was delicious and the cool part is we got to take the rest of our food that we didn’t eat, home with us. You can’t take food home after a buffet visit. I promise you won’t regret the visit to The House of China restaurant. Family owned and run and it’s a peaceful atmosphere. We will be going back!
What we enjoyed:
Hot tea in tea cups on saucers
House style lo mien
Fried rice
Veggie fried rice
Beef & Broccoli
General Tso’s Chicken
Bourbon Chicken
Sautéed String Beans
Egg rolls
Give it a try. They’ll be happy to serve you and you’ll be happy you went!

Hands down this has got to be some of the WORST American Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life. I thought Main Moon was scratching at the bottom of the barrel until I had House of China.
This food, in my humble opinion, is not even fit for an animal. Not one distinctive flavor, none of the dishes were visually appealing, the two egg rolls I received with the one dish were grossly undercooked and the steamed dumplings almost had some type of a roasted or smokey meat taste to them, something that was very offsetting upon consuming.
If you know what decent to good American Chinese food is, avoid this place at all costs. If you’re not a person of some discerning taste, please be my guest and indulge this place.
You wouldn’t know the difference after consuming their food if it were any good anyway?

The best food I’ve had in a long time! The portions are HUGE, and such a great value. We had 7 adults, soups, appetizers, entrees, and dessert for about $100. I can’t remember the last time that happened anywhere.

This is our new favorite Chinese spot. The outside looks discouraging because of the wooden “shelving decor”. But this is a lesson not to judge a book by it’s cover. This was a great experience with good standard Chinese food. I love the dishes with lids to keep the food hot while you eat.

Absolutely the worse take out we have gotten in a long time. Both orders were wrong, chicken was slimy, soup tasteless, egg roll undercooked, rice overcooked, and waited far past expected time. Never again, this is what I get for cheating on main moon.
