When we walked in we were not greeted by the staff. The store also had all of the interior lights off and barely looked open. When we went to order a goji crunch bowl we were told they did not have the ingredients to make any bowls. I switched the bowl order to order another option and were told they had no mangos and no bananas to fulfill that choice. It’s Saturday day they should be fully stocked to fulfill all weekend orders. Not to mention there is a grocery store in the same plaza, why not restock temporarily from the grocery store. Highly disappointed that I was not able to order what we wanted and the two orders we did finally go with (which are our regular orders) were now missing the bananas.

Side note: both staff members were wearing man bags while making orders and one of them was wearing a hoodie with the hood on his head with a large winter coat over the hoodie. This entire encounter was highly unprofessional from start to finish!

The employees are very rude and inconsiderate. My wife and I had a hard day today. We stopped by the Smoothie King off Dorsett in Maryland Heights. We got there at 8:40p. The employees working there saw us and immediately turned off the inside lights. My wife walked to the door and they looked at her and said “we are closed” even though it was 20 minutes before closing. They stated they “closed early because they had already cleaned up.” We just wanted a smoothie and the employee just did not want to work until closing time. Mind you, there was still 20 minutes left, we did not walk up at 8:58. The fact that a manager allowed this during this economy is insane to me. I don’t think my business will ultimately effect Smoothie King but if the employees turn away enough people, who are actually willing to spend $20 on a Smoothie, well it might actually mess with their bottom line. The service is horrendous and we just went to Andy’s next door for a shake.

I don’t usually write long reviews, but the service at this location has declined so dramatically that it needs serious attention because this is terrible. Today I walked in with no one in line ahead of me—only two customers waiting on their smoothies. Even so, I stood at the counter for almost 15 minutes without being acknowledged. When the employee finally approached, she began taking my order, then immediately walked away into the back without saying a word. I stood there waiting again for several more minutes before she returned to restart my order.

To make things worse, she prioritized multiple online orders over me, despite the fact that I was already at the counter waiting. This wasn’t an issue from past visits—this was her, the same girl working today. It was extremely unprofessional and made absolutely no sense given that I was physically present and clearly waiting to be helped.

This is not the first time I’ve had issues with her service. Each time she is working, the same behaviors appear: she is constantly on her phone, she plays loud personal music while working, and she does not wear attire appropriate for food service. Today, her shirt was so revealing that part of her breast was visible, and her hair was not tied back, which goes against basic food safety standards. She also pulls ingredients straight out of bags or boxes rather than properly storing or prepping them. None of this reflects the standards expected of a Smoothie King employee.

I want to make it clear: I do not blame her alone.
She clearly feels comfortable doing all of this, which tells me that management—or whoever owns this location—allows it. She likely has no idea that customers have mentioned her repeatedly in negative reviews, because no one has corrected her behavior. The responsibility lies with the owner or manager, who is choosing to ignore both employee performance and customer concerns.

The decline of this store is especially disappointing because two years ago, this was one of the best Smoothie King locations I visited. But recently, every visit has gotten worse. While it wasn’t today’s employee, other workers on previous visits were openly sitting in the customer seating area talking about smoking weed and partying while on the clock, and my smoothie was made incorrectly to the point it tasted like plain water. The energy and professionalism that used to define this store are completely gone, replaced by careless behavior and lack of oversight.

It seems obvious that poor hiring and lack of management have driven out the good workers who once kept this store running well. Either the ownership has changed or the standards have disappeared, because the downward shift is undeniable.

At this point, the issues are too consistent and too widespread to ignore. I don’t even want the owner to reply to this because apparently they used the same automated reply with everyone complaints and not reinforcing it. Owner may not care but the better business bureau will. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I will be encouraging other dissatisfied customers—whose reviews echo the same concerns—to join me. This location needs either a full staff overhaul, accountable management, or direct intervention from corporate. Right now, it is not meeting even the basic expectations of cleanliness, professionalism, or customer service.

Enjoy coming to this smoothie king. Customer service is good, but I think they could be better at greeting people when they walk in, and have a quicker response time when someone is standing at the counter waiting to order. Overall, very quick turn around on smoothies ordered, and the store is pretty stocked with items on the shelves. The tables are usually pretty clean. Prices are a good value.
I ordered the apple kiwi kale smoothie, and love it.
However, if you’ve never been to a Smoothie King, you should know that most of the ingredients are not fresh fruit and vegetables and just powder, which is why it comes out so fast and the smoothies taste so sweet. I do wish corporate would change the quality of ingredients so that customers could feel better about what they are consuming.

Hello,
I am writing to report a very disappointing experience with my recent order.
I placed an order through the Smoothie King app, and it was assigned to DoorDash for delivery. However, when the DoorDash driver arrived at the store, they informed me that no one was present at the location. Despite this, the order was marked as “Delivered” in the Smoothie King app.
I did not receive my order, and this situation was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. It is unacceptable for an order to be marked as completed when it was never prepared or handed over.
I kindly request that this issue be investigated and that I receive either a full refund or a proper resolution as soon as possible.
Please let me know how this will be handled.
Thank you

Every single time I come to this location, my smoothie is made wrong. I tell them exactly how to make my smoothie and it’s never done correctly. I have to make sure the manger is there to get a half way decent tasting smoothie. I am really disappointed with the service I’ve received. I have supported them to no end. I really feel this is torcher and we shouldn’t have to deal with this when we’re paying our hard earned money. Someone needs to know.

Employee did not greet any of the customers as we entered the store. She was loudly playing vulgar music from her cell phone and her attire was unprofessional (had in a belly shirt). The middle island (where customers should be able to sit to enjoy their smoothie if they wanted) was partially covered with products that needed to be stored away. I would come to this location because it’s so close to my office. After today, I doubt that I will be back to this location.

Upon arrival we were not greeted, and the employee didnt even give us eye contact when speaking to us. She made our smoothies and walked away telling us to have a good day. The smoothie was bland and not enjoyable, and my lid was the wrong size to my cup, causing me to almost spill it several times.

Walked in to place an order, got told there were no in person orders and I’d have to order online and wait a bit. Walked out to order and wait in car. Came back in later to get order, saw another customer place an order at the counter and get it relatively quickly. Wild. Smoothie was right at least
