Oh hells yes! With the decline of KFC’s quality, the rising popularity of Golden Chick’s greasy little tenders, and the ridiculous cost of, well, everything, I’d given up on American fried chicken. But driving though Hondo, I could not believe the Monthly Special price posted. Finally, the price was right and the chicken was sooooooo goooooood! Fricka fricka fresh! If you don’t have time to wait for spicy, request the spicy sprinkle packets!

Can’t rate atmosphere as it was drive-thru. Service was friendly & food was hot and fresh. My biggest complaint…I specifically ordered 3 thighs…paid extra for substitution. Got home with 2 legs & 1 thigh. I told them I didn’t want the extra drink, for 2nd order bc I had a 45 mins drive home. Took me a while to get my order. Got home & did not have what I specifically ordered. Hmmm… coincidence bc they knew I would be 45 mins away & couldn’t/wouldn’t drive back for them to make right??? Check your orders b4 driving off!

One star overall. For many, many months the main sign has been off. At night You can never tell if this place is open or not because of the unlit sign. Also the outside menu has no lights. You can barely see what’s on the menu at night. I have to use a my cell phone light to look at the menu. That’s really sad. And then when you order the speaker is so far down near the ground that you can’t hear the person talking and they can’t hear you either. Come on Church’s!!!

No one would take my order. Short Hispanic woman in church’s uniform was chatting with another woman at a table. A young tall man was trying to do everything. I got tired of waiting and left. It’s sad you are paying people to handle your business and they don’t do it.

Food was ready fast, but the batter on my chicken tasted stale, could ave also been the oil.
The batter was also odd, normally Churches Chicken skin peels right off, but this was stuck to the chicken.
Ordered the Texas meal, with spicy chicken, everything was right, service was good, order was ready fast, but could have been better.

Great family restaurant. I have almost never had a bad experience here. The time we did the manager Renee was able to quickly resolve the issue plus extra. One time the only had three people working one for front of house cashier, the cook and the drive thru cashier. They were slammed with a line of cars thru the parking lot plus a full dinning room. They got the food out hot and fast. We didn’t see one person or car leave from any wait they might have had.

Stopped here while on vacation the chicken strips were fresh and had better flavor than the churchs chicken where I live! Everything was fresh and hot the wait wasn’t long at all we set at the lil red picnic table under the big tree and enjoyed our meal before getting back on the road.

The air conditioning wasn’t working on 1 February 2022 and it was needed. My boss ate there. He got a chicken sandwich with more chicken than bread. It was so good, sparks were flying off his teeth and he accidentally bit his fingers twice.
