I visited today against my better judgement and the experience was not great. Really hoping to enjoy a scoop on a hot day with my toddler and instead greeted by irritable servers. The kids’ scoop was gigantic, absolutely silly huge. I asked them to put it back and serve smaller. They put some back, I asked for even less- finally we did eat about half of it. My ‘small’ scoop was also silly large so it needed a dish that I didn’t ask for.
No other ice cream places struggle with this- you ask for a cone, you get a scoop on a cone. It’s not hard. So much ice cream that it’s not even enjoyable.
The servers are pretty much always grumpy here. This time when I asked for less ice cream, the cashier told the other person something along the lines of ‘you take this, this customer pissed me off’.
Not going back.

Nice outdoor space. There’s a state park with paved trails you can walk by the river and eat your icecream. The sepection is great. The servings are parge for the price. They also have grinders, soup, and the best hotodgs around. There is some indoor seating.

Cute little ice cream shop with super friendly staff. It’s tucked away on a lovely little town with two names; Turners Falls and Montague. Sadly, no maple creemees. It wasn’t out of our way but it was intended to be our first stop in our annual maple creemee crawl. We had ice cream instead.

what i will complain about is the boss’s indescribable attitude and lack of empathy for her customers AND, even more so, her workers. when one of your workers make a mistake, you can tell them and remind them to make sure to fix it, not raise your voice at them and basically embarrass them infront of the entire store. disgusting behavior, im glad many other reviewers agree with me.

After the first time being at this location and being treated with rude behavior, I thought maybe it was a one off and gave them a second chance to earn my business. Arrived half hour before closing, paid $15 for ice cream and was sitting enjoying when it was loudly proclaimed “you’re all going to have to leave out the side door because we’re closed”. We continued to sit, thinking we had time. Nope. Again “you all need to leave, I have to mop the floor”. First of all, I own a business. If people are shopping with me, I am NEVER going to tell them to leave because it’s closing time. I certainly would never do that if they’ve already spent their money with me. A note to the owner – if you’d like to retain business, a polite “we’ll be closing soon, please finish up” works so mich better for return business. A parting shot such as “don’t show up five minutes before we close” will certainly lose you business. I, for one, will not be returning.

These fake bad reviews are funny on here, they really know how to lie or make themselves seem victimized by getting told a simple instructions that in no way is offensive or should make anybody feel bad. For example, the A/C is ALWAYS on inside this business, therefore when you are in a long line out of the door , you close the door to not let out the cool air because it gets hot inside. So that means if you are asked by staff to close the door , that doesn’t mean you cower over to reviews and say the workers were mean to you or this that and the 3rd. That’s not how that works. The staff is always respectful and constantly greets, and wishes everyone to have a good day before they leave. This is a respected business with tons of regulars that can vouch for this statement. Also Leaving a bad review over YOUR child misbehaving inside a public restaurant (yelling, banging on tables, running off the walls, throwing stuff) is absolutely crazy, you cannot flip it onto staff for simple telling your child to cut it out because yourself wasn’t doing so and not being a proper parent. Sorry not sorry. It’s the truth and it hurts some people I guess.

Got a Turkey grinder , lettuce had little bugs all over. I tossed it. Was trying to be nice and let them know and the woman just yelled that there was no way she was incredibly rude. I only was letting them know to watch out, not for a refund or replacement just letting them know very unprofessional place of business.
