Little bit of a late post but me and my girlfriend came here for the valentines special menu. It was amazing and the service was really thoughtful. Our server was Aaron, and he was very kind and made terrific suggestions. He was very honest too and suggested I get the Sablefish rather than their steak. I was very happy I did make that decision as the food was top notch. They gave complimentary bread with a very nice hummus style spread. The appetizers were very tasty, especially the crab cakes. The desert was also super delicious, the tiramisu had quite a strong orange profile to it. The $50 whiskey flight from a japanese distiller was also quite smooth and tasty. Overall will visit again and ask for Aaron!

Great presentation of the food, amazing service by the staff and God atmosphere. The food quality was not all there for the price you pay. Lack a few flavors and a few dishes not all delicious. Great experience worth to try at least once

We celebrated a birthday at Blu Water Cafe on Boxing Day and had a fantastic experience. We focused on the raw and sushi bar, ordering oysters, trout and tuna tartare, hamachi, and several rolls – all were excellent.

The flavors were fresh, bright, and clean, exactly what you want from quality seafood. Every dish was beautifully executed and showcased the ingredients perfectly. The cocktails were equally impressive and paired wonderfully with our meal.

The menu is extensive with so much we didn’t get to try, which just means we’ll have to return. We finished with the lava cake for dessert, and the restaurant made our birthday celebration feel special with thoughtful touches.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-notch seafood in Vancouver. The raw bar alone is worth the visit.

Wowowowow, what a perfect restaurant. Every bite was immaculate. Wine was always topped up. Water always topped up. Beautiful room! Excellent service, our waiter Leo was so incredible. The martinis were divine. I want to scream it from the hilltops, Blue Water is BRILLIANT. I would choose this restaurant for any and all special occasion that you have coming up. REALLY great for gluten allergies as well, so awesome.

Dined at Blue Water Cafe two nights ago and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding — everything we ordered was delicious, including the tuna sashimi, Bluefin negitoro, crab nigiri, sablefish, flat iron steak, and desserts (the chocolate cake and cheesecake were fantastic). Cocktails were also excellent, especially the Negroni and Dutch Mule.

Service was truly amazing: attentive, professional, and perfectly paced without ever feeling rushed. The ambiance is upscale yet comfortable, making it a great spot for a special evening or business dinner.

Consistently one of Vancouver’s best seafood restaurants — highly recommended, and I’d happily return.

We are seafood lovers, and my husband took me here for my birthday dinner. The oysters were very fresh and juicy. The food was good, and the service was great. We sat in the balcony area, which was warm. The only downside was the heater — it couldn’t be adjusted, so when one table complained that it was too hot, they turned it off. Once it was off, it got cold again, so they had to keep switching it on and off. The walkway to the washroom was also quite dark. Overall, we had a great time there.

We had an amazing dining experience at Blue Water Cafe.
Everything was perfect – from the warm, friendly service – to the lovely booth we got just for the two of us, even on a busy night, which made the evening feel even more special.
The food was great, and the cocktails were excellent. If you love fish and seafood, this place is a must-visit when in Vancouver. They also offer an extensive wine list and some fantastic cocktail options.
Would definitely go back!

We sat at the main bar and our server, Adam, was outstanding. He was hopping busy behind the bar and yet gave us excellent guidance on menu options. We took his advice on our sushi order, and his suggestions were our favourite bites…right down to offering to flash fry the prawn head garnish on our sashimi platter – yum!

Excellent dirty martinis, too.

It was unusually busy on a Sunday evening with events happening downtown. We were off to Dave Chappelle. – timed out perfectly for us. 90 minute service.

We visited Blue Water Cafe in Vancouver after making the trip in from White Rock, and it was absolutely worth it. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, and the overall vibe is fantastic.

A huge shout-out to our waiter Liam, who was truly exceptional. His service was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable — he made the experience feel extra special.

The seafood was incredibly fresh and delicious, easily some of the best we’ve had. Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavour.

Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

My brother and I came here to enjoy a dinner for two as a prize we won at a hockey game. It was an AMAZING experience! We were treated like royalty, we had such a fun time, and the food was spectacular. Everything was so well though out and our servers were just lovely. Thankful for such a quality experience.
