It is really wonderful. You will find more review in urban spoon and they all tell you the same thing. My review here only confirms what others have written. From the outside, you will not guess this establishment that looks just like any other rural sports bar next to a gas station serves Indian cuisine. I was incredulous, but decided to try after the nice review from the couple from LA. Once inside, it still doesn’t feel like you are in an Indian restaurant as much as in a normal sports bar. We were attended by a very nice and friendly staff. I was craving for lamb biryani. Honestly when it came out, I thought the portion was a bit too small. In the end I had too put an effort to finish it. It is a bit different interpretation of biryani but it is excellent and full of flavors. Others in the party enjoy their meals and our kids enjoy their hamburger and chicken wings. We shall return.

Driving out into the middle of nowhere, you start to feel a little apprehensive about your choice of dining. I mean, an Indian place/ sports bar? How good can the food REALLY be? Let me tell you: AMAZING. Don’t let the placement, size, and drive from Fort Campbell throw you off; if you want great Indian food, you want House of Spice!

My wife and I frequent Western KY and were excited to learn about this place. Given the great reviews, this place really disappointed. I imagine most people rate this place highly because it’s just about the only Indian place on I-24 north of Nashville. There are very few real ethnic places around Land Between the Lakes, so we really wanted to support this place. We will not go back.
It offers a full Indian menu, which is already curious as there is no way they can get fresh ingredients year-round in Cadiz, KY. As an appetizer we ordered the vegetable samosas, they were unlike any samosas we’d ever seen. It was slivers of vegetables that had been deep fried. My wife described it as funnel cake stuffed with a vegetable slices in each piece. We have never seen such samosas, and don’t recommend them.
I ordered the baingan (eggplant) bharta my wife the chicken tikka masala. The eggplant was clearly pureed and frozen, it was like eating apple sauce with an eggplant flavor. My wife’s chicken was thin and dry, very tiny pieces. The sauce tasted more of yogurt than anything, the worst we’ve ever seen (and we’ve eaten Indian all over the world). Tiny pieces of nasty chicken for $12, what a deal.
I overheard the waitress say something about their main chef being off that day (this was a Friday). Perhaps you should make sure they’re on their game before you order. The beer selection is fine (it connects to a liquor store) and the sports bar atmosphere was good, haven’t seen many places like this around Cadiz.
The bathrooms were nasty, wallpaper peeling off the wall, very run-down feel. Reading the other reviews about dirty silverware and such does not surprise me. What surprises me are the high reviews. Avoid this place.

My wife and I are transplants from Los Angeles where there are many traditional Indian restaurants [my wife is Hindu]. Needless to say I was at first skeptical of an authentic Indian eatery in the hinterlands of farm country out in KY.
Folks, my wife and I are absolutely in LOVE with this place! Great waitress, great atmosphere but most of all, THE FOOD IS THE BOMB-DIGGITY!!!! I even bought an extra entrée before we left so I could take to lunch for work the next day.
My sincerest congratulations to the Chef and staff at House of Spice.

My husband and I just ate there. We were very pleased with the food and service. It was excellent especially considering that’s in Cadiz, KY! Cozy and very casual sports-bar environment with Indian food.

We ate there last summer and the food was fantastic. What made it especially amazing was not only excellent Indian food, but also some of the best hush puppies and fried fish that I have had in a restaurant in many years.

Better than going to Clarksville! Wish I’d heard about them sooner. Price, portion, and flavor are perfect. Try the Dosa!
