What a place! I live locally and have been to Franks a handful of times, mostly when we have visitors. After going this morning, I’ve been finding myself questioning why we haven’t been going more often. Everything is fantastic, but the Garbage Plate is hard to pass up! Do yourself a favor and order the full plate so you have leftovers! And the homemade bread….SO GOOD!
Was my first time trying their adult bevvies and the mimosas were delicious. My friend has the Bloody Mary and said it was nice and spicy!
Watch out Franks, we’ll be back sooner rather than later!

Visiting from Melbourne Australia, came here with my family after seeing a facebook ad about it’s 99th anniversary. This is a super cool little diner that has to be experienced. It’s an old train car so the space is tight but totally worth the effort to squeeze yourself in to here. They have a larger table in the back that our group of five was able to sit at. The food is all typical diner food but everything was very tasty. I highly recommend trying their homemade bread, preferably in their French toast dish if you can! The pancakes were probably the best I’ve ever had and it is huge!! I also the the stuffer Omelette and their hash browns are just perfect! Cluld not recommend it highly enough! What a great experience it is to go to this place! It is obviously a very unique diner, so that’s worth it alone and the staffs are super friendly, Prices are affordable by today’s standards as well.

Absolutely Delicious!! Staff were all upbeat and happy, smiling, singing and cracking jokes! The half garbage plate is huge and is almost enough for two people! The homemade toast was amazing! Food was steaming hot and we literally had to let it cool down before eat! I would 100% recommend this small, friendly diner! Thanks

My first trip here. Waited about 45 minutes for a table of four. Reservations taken only for six or more. They are known for Frank’s Famous Garbage Plate: a very large breakfast plate. However, we had lunch: the Wow burger, mini corn dogs, tuna melt, Spam sandwich, side of homemade hash, tavern fries, and their homemade bread. I wasn’t keen on trying the Spam sandwich-I left that to the others in our group! Everything was tasty, staff very polite and they worked well together, like a well oiled machine. Atmosphere is great. Look up its history, it’s worth a few minutes divergence. While waited for our table, we walked around the corner to “Tavern on 6th” for scrumptious Bloody Marys. Frank’s Diner is a very nostalgic place to eat, especially knowing the history and how the building got to be….feels like you’re transported through time.

Wow, great surprise. Im a chef and get wigged out about viewing the kitchen. I have worked in some, not very pleasent kitchens. But we sat at the counter and watched our breakfast be made. The cornbread hash was to die for. No canned meat here.. The corn beef was real, juice and plenty of it. The toast is fabulous, they make it in house. Service was great and the person prepping the plates and buttering the toast for service, was chatty and so nice. Highly recommend if your in the area. There is a wait, almost an hour, but they are fast once you get in and seated.

My husband travels for work and sent this review.
Franks diner. Meat lovers omelet, hash browns with gravy. One of the best tasting omelets I’ve had, ingredients were high quality. Gravy on hash browns was interesting but nothing overly special. The best thing about the gravy though was it was free!

Delicious breakfast, fun vibes, and the friendliest waitstaff around! A great way to start the day! We visit every time we are in town! There’s a reason they were featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives!

Best Pancakes I have had eating out EVER!!! These beat Dennys and IHop by a mile!!! They are fluffy and flavorful and yellow(?) and AMAZING!!!! The wait was 45 minutes but quicker because we wanted to eat outside at a table. There were a TON of bees but they weren’t in the least bit aggressive-just makes sure you keep your drinks covered because they get nosey about that sweet smell-they were truly harmless and actually entertaining. We opened a syrup and sat it on the opposite of the table and it kept them entertained and sugar drunk so all was good. Frank’s wasn’t just great food-it was an EXPERIENCE!! Ohhh plus LOVED OUT WAITER!!! He was awesome!!!

Went on a Sunday just before noon, be prepared for a wait, but the food is great. Service is kinda lacking, but that’s because they’re serving the rest of this busy diner. Definitely order their cinnamon roll! Best one I’ve tasted yet, deliciously cinnamony, soft, and warm. HUGE homemade toast, you get your money’s worth.

Start by saying I love franks diner!…This is an original train car based diner. In the same spot since 1924, the staff are eccentric but extremely friendly. The food is awesome. I had a half order of the house specialty, the garbage plate. A mix of hash browns, eggs, green peppers and onions to which I added homemade sausage, ham, cheddar cheese and jalapeños. The sausage comes in huge chunks and is absolutely delicious. The home made bread toasted is also incredibly good. Get there early – it is always busy and not huge on space. We got there around 8:00-9:00 on a Sunday and waited about 20 – 30 minutes. Worth the wait! 100% recommend!
