The wife and I were looking for a new spot to hang out on a lazy Sunday afternoon. We ran across this on a google search and decided to check it out. The place itself is pretty nice and inviting. We went mid-day and while it was not packed, there were enough people to make it lively. Regular bar food fare but good. Crushes were tasty and the view was nice. It’s pretty cool that they have a pier for guests to dock on and visit. There’s a super mini “beach” for kids to dip their feet in. The service was ok but we did wish that they came over more often to check up on us. We would have ordered a couple of more drinks if they’d did. We will come back to see how the evening crowd is.

Thank you so much to the entire team at Flying Point for your assistance and location to host a memorial for my late father. The ambiance and views here are spectacular, with water and sunshine all around. The staff went above and beyond to help setup and serve our large group, giving special attention to my family knowing it would be a difficult day for us all. We couldn’t have hoped for a better location or weather and the memorial was perfect and memorable. The food was delicious especially the pizza which went so quick we ordered more! It was a crowd favorite along with the nachos. Thank you again for everything you did to help us make the day special and to honor our dad.

***Update** I remembered to take pictures of my food. The buffalo chicken wrap was pretty good and the fries. The trashcan wings were fried too hard and they didn’t have flavor considering we were told they were all of the flavors combined. The service was good. I learned that you must reserve seating under the Pavillion. It wasn’t always like that. I remember the first year and maybe even the second year you could be seated there without reserving….
I came out with my partner and his mom. We were seated immediately. Our server was kind, patient, and attentive. He gave us time to order. He gave us suggestions. All of our food came out hot and timely. We ordered soup (Maryland crab and cream of crab mixed together), and it wasn’t really hot, but it was good. The mozzarella sticks were good, and he gave us extra marinara sauce. We ordered a strawberry lemonade alcohol drink, and it wasn’t good, the Maryland mule was pretty good, and the long Island was really a short island lol it wasn’t strong at all. Overall, we had an excellent experience and will be back.

Atmosphere was beautiful. It has so much potential, but the service was awful. We ordered an appetizer and a meal and sat for over an hour without receiving the appetizer and/or main dish. Ended up leaving before our main dish came out; also after we asked for water and never received that. Given the music and atmosphere, we will likely be back for a happy hour at the bar, but not for food service.

The environment and atmosphere is great. fresh air live music and food. The food wasn’t the best my kids received chicken tenders and I had the shrimp tacos. the tenders were slimy and the tacos gave Asian fusion. i probably would come back to try something else

The venue is absolutely gorgeous, if they haven’t thought of hosting small weddings and parties here they absolutely should. That being said, the food was average at best. For example, the pulled pork was absolutely drowned in sweet sauce and didn’t include enough coleslaw to include it as an ingredient, it looked and tasted more like an unfortunate accident. We ordered a few other things too, but only the crab soup was pretty good. I hope they get better because it seems like a really good opportunity, but I would definitely give them time to figure themselves out before going back.
Oh, and they have a rather large dress code sign including what they will kick you out for right at the entrance which I thought wasn’t very welcoming at first, but then some of the guys blocking the entrance hanging out with the manager (?) immediately started breaking these rules when she went inside so, maybe these rules really need to apply to friends/family too if they want everyone to have a pleasant experience

I’m so incredibly disappointed this year. The Island, since their opening, has been my favorite go-to place. I would go just for the shrimp tacos and grapefruit crush. I was waiting for them to open this year to enjoy the tacos. Last year, the tacos were over flowing. I had a difficult time eating all three. This year, I couldn’t find the shrimp One of the tacos only had two shrimp. The grapefruit crush was not good. I’m hoping they improve!!

I’ve held off writing a review after going there a few times, as I wanted to give it a fair shot. First time I had lunch- burger and fries, and it was pretty good. Service was pretty good too. Second time was for dinner. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food, which came out differently than ordered and all of the food was cold. Third time (last night) was also for dinner. We went to dinner there specifically for the steamed shrimp, and we were given a new menu that is very limited and doesn’t have the steamed shrimp listed. This menu is different than what they advertise on their website. I opted for the burger and cream of crab. Both the burger and the cream of crab came out cold, the burger was over cooked and much smaller than the burger I got a few weeks ago. I’m pretty sure I was given a burger off the kids menu. The waiter was very nice, and attentive. The only reason to go there at this point is for the atmosphere. Very disappointing.
