The Broken Yolk in Buena Park is a great spot to visit—especially since it’s conveniently located right across the street from Knott’s Berry Farm. The restaurant is a good size, very clean, and the staff is friendly with excellent customer service.
I ordered the Chilaquiles con Pollo Divorciado, the Tres Leches French Toast with eggs and sausage, and the Mom Omelet (spinach, mushrooms, and sour cream). The chilaquiles and the tres leches French toast were definitely the standouts.
The chilaquiles were flavorful and delicious, although the chicken could use a bit more seasoning—it wasn’t bad, just not as impressive as the rest of the dish. But the Tres Leches French Toast? That was the showstopper. If you haven’t tried it yet, you absolutely should. It’s rich, incredibly flavorful, and worth the trip alone.
Overall, amazing food, great service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely come back!

We had such a wonderful experience at Broken Yolk Café! The breakfast was absolutely delicious — everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.
Our waiter, Alonso, truly made the experience even better. He was so kind and attentive. He noticed that someone in our party spoke Spanish and immediately switched to Spanish to make them feel comfortable, which we really appreciated, it meant so much to us that he took that extra step.
He checked on us to make sure everything was perfect and made us feel genuinely cared for. Amazing service and amazing food — we will definitely be back!

We came here with our group after a meeting by one of our leader’s recommendation- and it did not disappoint! This is now one of the top places for us to come for any gathering. I first noticed the pleasant atmosphere- bright high ceiling, the cute decor, olive trees in the middle, semiprivate circular tables, booths, upbeat music in the background which makes the entire experience very pleasant, lively, and family friendly.
The second thing I noticed which is just as important, if not more as the atmosphere is their food. The dishes we ordered were excellent as well~ My husband ordered the Mile High omelette which was packed with plenty of veggies, ham and cheese. Hash-brown was cooked to perfection. They also have healthy menu list which included egg white, feta cheese wrapped in a heathy wrap. Coffee was nice and hot and tasted great, not like weak cafeteria coffee as some restaurants have it
The service was above and beyond- our server Alonso was friendly, quick and attentive to our needs. The front persons, manager was super friendly, and even the older gentleman clearing the table asked if we needed anything when we looked around for something. So happy to have found a place that’s family friendly, and even provides private intimate feeling for just the two of us to enjoy the food, atmosphere and friendly service.
We will be sure to come back- with our friends and family or even for our casual date ~

Delicious food. Great customer service. Evelio did a marvelous job at catering to our needs, quick and precise. First time here and I really enjoyed it. Better than the other breakfast restaurants. I enjoyed the Eggs Benedict while my partner in crime ended with the Cinna- cake. Both delicious.

Had a great first time experience. Our server Mariela was great, and knowledgeable on the different drinks they had. I went with the messy caramel latte and to eat I ordered the sopes benedict with a bean. Everything was great! Will definitely be back again.

Met a good friend from out of town for brunch. This is my first time and it was a pleasant experience. We got on the waitlist and although it was a busy morning, we didn’t have to wait long and got a seat right away. Service was welcoming and cheerful the moment we walk in. The staff was on point and never miss a beat. Food was delicious and the menu is extensive. We had the Spanish Latte, Hawaiian French Toast and the Golden State Eggs Benedict. Can wait to come back, at another location closer to my home.

Came here on our way out of town. Price was reasonable for the amount of food. Food had good flavor and the staff very obviously prides themselves on taking care of the guests that visit them. They were accommodating and friendly through and through. Next time I’m back in town I will definitely com back. Our servers name was Gabriel. He made the visit 1000 times better. Thank you!

Perfect place for Sunday brunch. So many options – I really appreciated that they had vegetarian options. Our server Mariela took such wonderful care of us. 10/10. The lemon ricotta pancake was the perfect side to my vegan bowl.
