We made a reservation for Valentine’s Day without realizing the restaurant was only offering a $90 fixed menu. For that price, the meal included a basic salad, a shrimp appetizer, an entrée of your choice, and dessert (vanilla ice cream with a peach turnover).

I ordered the halibut for my entrée, but it was very dry and overcooked. While the service was good, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. For a special occasion and at that price point, I expected much better. Instead, it felt like we were being taken advantage of on a holiday.

My wife and I have eaten here many times. We were there again recently and sat at the bar towards the back. We had a very nice conversation with the manger/owner who happened to be working behind the bar. The way he spoke about food recipes and wines demonstrated a great amount of thought and care into the menu and customer experience. After speaking with thinness became clear why we’ve enjoyed every item we’ve ordered.

Wanted to try this place (Friday night) and have some great food but…after arriving for our dinner we were asked to wait in back near the Bar. It was an odd spot with a few chairs with purses and backpacks on them. Two were available to sit. As I got up to go to the bathroom I was surprised that a dog was blocking my way and belonged to someone at the Bar. They should be glad I don’t work for the health department. We were seated at a very nice table and greeted by our waiter. As I looked over the menu I was overwhelmed at the level of noise in the restaurant. Unfortunately I wasn’t feeling it and decided to find another place to eat.

It’s the first time in a while.Maybe years that we’ve been back at Vino Santo , and honestly this restaurant is an experience like no other we had an amazing service team helping us in every way, even picking the wine which they blow out the water and on a cold day we wanted out seating in the back patio wow we’re the only ones there. It was romantic, the food was decadent.nAnd the service was a one will be back again for sure next month.nBest birthday slash anniversary

Have to start with… I never write reviews, but Vino Santo was amazing!!
We had our team dinner with a big group. The service was amazing, but food (even the bread) was even better!!

Great dining experience overall. I got the linguini, my partner got the fettuccini. Perfectly cooked pasta and the pear martini was delicious.

However. The tiramisu, was absolutely out of this world. I think I’ve found the perfect tiramisu in the area, if not the world. It’s the only picture I took. It would make an Italian grandmother (nonna) cry it was so good.

One of my favorite Italian spots in the bay area. You can’t go wrong with any of the appetizers. We usually get scallops, scampi, and clams. Their pastas are cooked perfectly and you have a great selection of rich sauces. The vegetables are bright without being overpowering and there’s a large selection of wines and mixed drinks to go with your meal. Free bread is both delicious and filling, so we usually don’t have enough space left for dessert. All the staff is really friendly and you can choose from indoor or outdoor seating.

Came here for a work dinner and everything was pretty good but not necessarily a place I would return to on my own.

Highlights were the pumpkin smash cocktail and the appetizers. I got the lobster ravioli for my main and it was okay but I thought it needed a bit more flavor. We also shared a bunch of desserts at the end, all of which were pretty tasty.

Overall vibes and service were good but not too special for the price.

The service is so so. You have to ask multiple times to get what you need. Taste is great but the amount of meat in pasta is small. The wait time could be very long. We waited for more than 40min even though it is close to 9pm. I found a hair in my pasta. Yuk. No apology was given. I do not want to wait another 40min to get a new plate.
