Reviews
Had a great experience at this Popeyes thanks to Jocelyn and Violet. They were both super friendly, patient, and made sure my order was correct. The service felt genuine, not rushed, and they kept a positive attitude even during a busy moment. Food came out hot and fresh, and their customer service honestly made the visit better than expected. Big shoutout to them for making it a smooth and pleasant stop definitely coming back!
I want to share feedback that I hope reaches the owner or district manager because this experience shows several issues that need immediate attention.
My recent visit to the Verrado Popeyes was extremely disappointing. From the start, placing our order took much longer than expected. The young woman working the drive-thru clearly seemed to be in orientation, but what concerned me most was that no one was helping her. She struggled with the drive-thru system, and instead of stepping in, the other employees were talking, joking around, and not paying attention to customers.
We ordered two different counts of spicy chicken strips, but once we got home, we realized we didn’t receive our order at all. Instead, we were given mac and cheese, three cold chicken strips, fries, and a biscuit. Not only was the food incorrect, but part of it wasn’t even warm.
We tried calling the store 13 times within a 15-minute window, and the phone was busy every single time. It felt like the team had no interest in answering or addressing customer issues.
My husband ended up having to drive all the way back just to get the order corrected—something we shouldn’t have had to do.
This review isn’t written to bash anyone personally but to highlight problems that reflect bigger operational concerns:
Lack of training and support for new employees
Poor communication and teamwork
Incorrect orders leaving the window
Phones not being answered
Unprofessional behavior in front of customers
As a community member who truly wants this location to succeed, I hope leadership takes this seriously and provides better training, oversight, and standards for the team. Verrado deserves a Popeyes that represents the brand well.
Like any other Sunday evening, everyone wants to be home, and not everyone has the energy to remain balanced.
What first caught my attention was her fierce blue-pigmented hair. More importantly, she was attentive to my order and made sure everything I wanted was still available, even as they were preparing to close. Violet became the conversationalist I needed to help pass those final 35 minutes.
My interaction with Violet was meaningful and uplifting. It was truly a valuable moment during a long journey.
My food came out about 5 minutes after ordering, but it was only warm, and the fries tasted like they had been sitting for a while. I asked for a fresher order and was told it would take 15 minutes. I ended up waiting 25 minutes.
By the time I finally got my food, I was already upset and went to my car to eat. Unfortunately, the food was cold again and tasted very bland. On top of that, I noticed that no one was wearing gloves, which is concerning for food safety.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience — poor service, long wait times, and food quality that didn’t match the wait.
If this is the standard being set by management, it explains a lot. There was no accountability, no customer service, and no attempt to make things right. A manager should lead by example — this was the opposite.
This experience alone is enough to make me avoid this location. Corporate should seriously reevaluate who they have representing their brand.
Ordered on the app, selected ASAP pickup. Knowing that last time I did that I had to tell them I was here to pickup before they would start my order, so I wasn’t shocked when that was the case this time. After waiting two minutes for anyone to come to the counter and acknowledge me the employee looked at the order and said it’ll take 6 minutes for the spicy tenders and called back to the kitchen to drop them. So I step aside to wait.
As I was waiting I overhear the team joking about a woman ordering that was asking for fresh fries and the softest biscuits they had. Low and behold that was an omen of things to come.
Fast forward about 10 minutes and still no food, but hey it’s late I understand. Turns out the team lead was sitting in the dining area and he was asking back to the kitchen what was taking so long. He apologized once. All I heard from the kitchen was spicy tenders, I never did find out what the delay was.
Another 7 minutes go by and the team lead gets up, walks back there and then comes back, no update, no acknowledgement.
Another 10 minutes go by and the lead gets up again and goes to the kitchen. A little bit later and the food shows up, I did a quick scan and the number of boxes seemed right and there were sauce packets in the bag, so I took it and headed back home. If the delays were the worst of it, I might have let it go, but unfortunately they messed up almost everything else.
The wings were supposed to be honey barbecue, and they did have the honey barbecue sauce on them but they also appeared to be the ghost pepper wings just coated in honey bbq. The person who got the meal only ate two before they had to give up.
The spicy tenders were either a mixed or a bad batch because less than half tasted any different than regular tenders.
The blackened chicken sandwich was either reheated or just old because it had a rubbery texture and didn’t taste like any previous blackened chicken sandwich I have had.
I hope the customer they were joking about got what she wanted because it appeared I got the hard biscuits and cold fries.
And to top it all off they didn’t even include the right sauce packet, similar color, completely different taste.
If I ever dare to try Popeyes again, it will definitely never be this location.
I’d like to think they made as big of a mess on purpose as a joke because to think they failed this spectacularly while actually trying is a more depressing thought.
At the window, I double-checked once more, and she assured me they were spicy. However, when she handed me the receipt, she said she wasn’t able to change it to spicy but had “let the cook know.” Unfortunately, when I got home, the sandwiches were classic, not spicy, and the fries were cold.
After confirming four times, it’s really frustrating that my order still wasn’t correct especially since I was really craving the spicy version. I never give review but since we started coming to this location because its closer to home they always give order wrong or the temp on food is horrible. I rather drive further then coming back again to this location . Needs improvement
