Dedicated gluten free restaurant. Beautiful setting in a historic, 250 year old building. We have been here 10ish times. The menu is diverse, from pizza to unique Costa Rican dishes. Deserts are exceptional. We have also always had fantastic service.

We wanted to make a quick lunch stop on way from Rio Celeste to Tamarindo and this was such a pleasant surprise. Food was excellent, good size portions, staff was lovely, and the atmosphere was festive because of the horse parade that passed right outside the restaurant. Also the menu is fully gluten free but you can’t tell, it’s rare to find such soft and high quality GF bread.

Perfect spot for breakfast. We landed early and found this gem. Opens at 8am, very cute interiors and outdoor patio with lush greenery. Very friendly staff. Very good cappuccinos and our breakfast was absolutely delicious with high quality homemade ingredients. We had the juevos rancheros and desayuno pasado. Highly recommend this spot.

It’s fantastic to find a restaurant with tasty food, good atmosphere and good service that is also gluten-free. I visited in the morning and had a delicious slice of orange loaf and came back in the evening for a complete meal. Empanadas are very good. Pizza, risotto with fish and oriental beef are also excellent. Highly recommended.

I should have did more research before stopping in. Not my ideal place BUT it was a very clean and relaxing restaurant to stop in for lunch. A little pricey for what we got but understood the reason why. I would recommend for others for sure. The steak sandwich had amazing flavor. Was disappointed in how small the slice of chicken was on the chicken sandwich.

Having safe access to gluten free food with no risk of contamination issue is crucial whilst we are travelling. This place is FANTASTIC!
They have a great range of gluten free items on the menu, I would say all items are gluten free but I had the desanyo posada and it wasn’t certain that the sausage didn’t have wheat flour. For me this is ok, for my partner who has coeliacs this wouldn’t have been. My partner had the omelette with potato and bacon which was delicious and had no ill effects.
As we were leaving I noted a large range of cakes. We showed the coeliac card which explains the issues in Spanish and the lady went to double check with the chef. We had cheese pastries, meat pastries, banana bread and dulce leche cookie. No ill effects and they were delicious.
It is pricey but you can’t put a price on health and food safety.
We would totally recommend. The staff are super helpful and the setting is lovely.

Excellent food!! I had a piece of carrot cake, and the best iced latte I’ve ever had. The patio area is very nice, we enjoyed watching hummingbirds on the other side of the patio while we ate our meal.
Service was excellent – unfortunately I don’t know much Spanish, but our waitress was super sweet and took the time to run through the menu with me. I definitely plan to return!
