The best sushi place in Chicago. Period. I have been to more than 50 countries and have tried sushi in countless places, and this one stands out the most. At first glance it looks like a simple buffet, but they serve excellent sushi made with high quality fish. The location is right in the heart of Chicago. Everything is always fresh, the staff is kind, and it is usually not crowded at all. I really hope this place becomes even more popular!!

Great place! Ordered the All you can eat menu! Great portions, amazing food. I really enjoyed it. Ordered 3 times and finished it all with 2 orders of mochi ice cream! DELICIOUS! My favorites were the Kani Salad (ordered twice :)) and Angel Rolls! Staff was very friendly and ready to serve us more! It’s in a great location too, near other places you can visit and enjoy, bus station. Definitely visit if you’re in Chicago!

First, let me start off by saying the service was EXCELLENT! I have nothing bad to say about the establishment itself. You can tell they’re catering to a more Western palette. The fish quality isn’t amazing (it’s AYCE so it’s never amaaaazing anyway but I’ve had better. Their rolls >> nigiri. Nigiri has a big rice to fish ratio. Rolls rice ratio is better. Crab Rangoons solid. Seaweed salad is ok. Skip the miso soup— it’s extremely watered down. Beware of fried items as it gets super greasy/heavy/filling. Good price but you also are getting what you pay for. There aren’t a lot of good AYCE sushi spots in this area so this place suffices if you’re nearby.

$29.99 all you can eat. It’s good. Wished there were more varieties of food. Overall, not disappointed. Service is a little slower but not too bad. Sometimes, the waiters are more focus on their phones or talking to their coworkers. Food itself was pretty good. Usually come here during non peaked hours.

Had the pleasure of dining here with a friend on a Sunday evening. We did the all you can eat Sushi for $30. Very pleased with selection of the menu. Truly something for everyone including dessert. The only downside was the server, he wasn’t friendly at all and there were only 2 other tables of single diners when we were there. Due to the proximity to my home, I will be back.

This is my wife and I’s first time here and we were very impressed. Hands down the best all you can eat sushi in Chicago (I’ve been to 4 others). I’m pretty particular about fish quality and because I love nigiri and no one likes thin cut low quality sushi. For the price the fish was very fresh and not fishy at all! I ordered 3 rolls and 17 orders of various nigiri it was all fantastic!
They also have great sweet potato/avocado sub rolls too!
I would recommend the “salmon lover” one of the best rolls I’ve had in a while! Thanks to Yang for the excellent service and experience. Me and the wife will be back!

I live in South Loop Chicago. I have had the chance recently to try all 3 all-you-can eat Sushi spots near here. Sumi has the best food by far. Sushi rice was cooked right with the right moisture and flavor, tempura batter is crispy and airy. They don’t offer the most diverse items, but what they do offer they do it right. There are other AYCE sushi place near by that offer way more selections and has better decor, but food there disappointed me. Sami is my favorite near by.

All the food was delicious with a great price of $23.99/person for all you can eat. The restaurant has a simple design and ordinary atmosphere. All the rolls were freshly made and had a lot of fish and seafood inside. Great presentation, easy to eat. I would recommend this restaurant for sure and will come again!

This place is a steal! $29.99/person for all you can eat! Byob – NO corkage fee. No junk cc fees. Service is great! Place is a little run down. Food is good/great but not excellent. Moral of the story – bang for the buck, one of the best places in the Sloop. 2 people can eat like pigs, drink whatever you bring, tax/tip – $80 out the door! You can’t beat that in this economy! Yes, there is better sushi in the area but you will pay double for nearly the same food.
