I recently stayed overnight at the Premier Inn, Plymouth East Hotel and were delighted to find the Marsh Mills Beefeater so close to the hotel.

I enjoyed my evening meal and was served by a very efficient and helpful staff. I also thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast the next morning.

Amazing. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Food was perfectly cooked at great prices. Fish was delicious. Portion size was perfect. After living in London, no service charge is great to see. Would definitely visit again.

It has become a bit of a tradition, all you can eat breakfast at The Beefeater to start the eldest’s birthday celebrations. The food is exactly as expected, all the continental & breakfast options you could hope for. The staff were exceptional. Thoughtful & helpful. The birthday boy even received a treat. (He didn’t have a badge he just happened to mention when we turned up that he thought he would be paying now that he had turned 15 (children eat free, 15 & under)).

Well we normally have a fairly good meal and service here but today 31/1/26 was awful….First of all waited 10 minutes at the door and then had to sit in the bar for food which we didn’t mind. We went to the bar with one woman serving. and then had to wait 15-20 minutes to be served and when we got served as soon as the young girls came through to pour drinks for table service she just stopped serving and started yapping and joking with them leaving me stood at the bar. We didn’t mind waiting for our food 45 minutes but when it turned up they were cold and not even warm… the lasagne was hot and my steak was cooked lovely but cold.3 out of 4 meals were cold. The table behind us hadn’t been cleaned and dishes cleared in nearly 2 hours. We use other beefeater’s mainly in Paignton regularly but we probably wouldn’t visit Marsh Mills again in a hurry. They need to kick the manager into touch and sort the staff out.

Our server was Geogia and we had a wonderful experience both with dinning, food and overall time at the restaurant. One of our sides was forgotten but it came out in less than five minutes after we reminded her which was fine. All food was piping hot and perfectly cooked for all of our preferences. Would recommend and visit again personally

Came for a meal on Friday 16/1 after work – first time having food here. Had made a reservation but wasn’t necessary for the time we arrived 6.15 but got busy quite quickly after that. I had the honey and sriracha ribs which were tasty and filling. The fries were warm rather than hot and the corn ribs were wedges of corn rather than the corn ribs on the menu picture. Grace our server was lovely and friendly and checked on us frequently without being overbearing.

Table booked for 1.30 on a Sunday. Sat down on time food got to table at 2.15 . They very busy on Sundays staff did not stop working. Lots of people asking about time delay. If you want a quick meal dont go on a Sunday. Food was nice and hot on delivery. In a perfect world they need more staff to help serve and clear tables

We recently stayed overnight in the Premier Inn, Plymouth East Hotel and were delighted to find the Marsh Mills Beefeater so conveniently close to the hotel.

We enjoyed our evening meal and was served by a very efficient and helpful young lady by the name of Judith. The meal itself was thoroughly enjoyable, reasonably priced and the table that we sat at was comfortable and had a lovely warm atmosphere.

We also thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast the next morning and we were served by a very efficient and helpful young man by the name of Gabriel. The meal itself was really enjoyable, reasonably priced and set us up for the rest of our busy day.

We can thoroughly recommend the Marsh Mills Beefeater as a delightful, comfortable and reasonably priced place to enjoy some hearty, well prepared and tasty food.

We came to the Beefeater last Saturday and the food was amazing!! The mixed grill was perfectly cooked.

I must say a special mention to the young waitress Georgia, we noticed they must have been short staffed as she was on her own a lot trying to take orders and please most of the tables on the upstairs area. She was friendly, helpful and apologetic for the wait despite working her socks off!

We had no real issues with the wait but was very good of her to say.

An obviously busy Saturday but great food, great service and great atmosphere.

Waited 5 mins at door. No nice welcome, just ‘name please’. Given a table, menu plonked down. No explanation of how breakfast works (all Prem Inns are different), so need to know.
Chap rushing around like a chicken with no head.
Then the only time he wanted to interact was to stop me on my way out to ask for a review, cause a good one will help them to get more staff.

Here it is ☺️
